Sloop John B Posted October 12, 2013 Share Posted October 12, 2013 (edited) Personally the formation hasn't been the problem, it's the stupid substitutions that Mcintyre makes is the problem. Russell is the joint second top goalscorer in the league yet he gets hauled off, wheras Derek Lyle hasn't scored in 4 stays on for a full 90 in I think every game no matter how bad he plays. When it's the same things every week you have to question the man's intelligence. I fully expect to hear that we were "unlucky today" and we're close to "turning the corner". I've said it before, but what the f**k goes on at training? Put Gavin uptops instead of lyle . Mitchell instead of guff. Durnan in for Higgins an the yank in for Derek young. We badly miss McKenna and burns and Carmichael doesn't deserve his place in the team was dreadful today as were everyone . Only players that looked like they were interested were holt Paton and russel . Also noticed in the proggrame we only train for an hour and a half each day get a Wednesday off. Russell was by far the best QoS player on the park again today yet gets taken off! He must be pissed off cause I am! Time to play an other goalie Mitchell Durnan Dzierzwaski Reilly from the start we also need McKenna back Rapid. Antell,Mcguffie,Young and Lyle should only be squad players at this level. Broony88 Posted October 12, 2013 Share Posted October 12, 2013 Young and Kev are too similar to play together in a 4, in my opinion. Ive never been a fan of Mitchell in the centre of midfield either. McShane has done well since he came into the first team, to drop him and bring Slattery in from nowhere would be a bit harsh, no? In any case, its nowhere near as bad as, not only playing but persisting with, McGuffie in midfield. No matter how bad the defending, that was a routine save that Antell made an absolute mess of, which ultimately ending up costing us the win. No amount of whataboutery will change that Mcshane has been good yes but as an advanced midfielder that is his first outing in a central two. Most of the time he has been as a 3. No goals means we don't win either So it was the defences fault that Antell chucked it in the net ? Stop it.
