Homer Thompson
We were crap from cross balls last season as well. True. And if we keep winning 4-3 it wont matter this season either. Chances are we wont, though
die hard doonhamer
Anyone heard anything further about Kevin Dzierzawski? It seems to have gone quiet again. Edited August 17, 2013 by die hard doonhamer
sidofthesouth
There is nothing fans love more than having a scapegoat. It appears the theme this year is the new signings. Looks like you've hit the nail on the head there mate
SUPERSOUTH
Anyone heard anything further about Kevin Dzierzawski? It seems to have gone quiet again.Looks like the visa situation is taking its time to get sorted! Bet if he had been signing for a premiership team etc it would have been sorted weeks ago!

Nah I doubt the folk at Immigration give a feck about St Mirren or Partick Thistle!
Broony88
Will see if he is out warming up again today, if so red tape still being sorted. If he's not maybe the deal is dead.

JrsLeftPeg
Right where were we. Worse Defence - " well there is plenty evidence " Bring Back Durnan- " almost certainly " Better Opponents - " No doubt" Robinson v Antell - " Ok , I will give the young lad the benefit of the doubt ". Now where did hear this first

Broony88
The defence is absolutely shambolic. Zero confidence in Antell and either do the defenders as a few times ball was comfortably travelling through to him and the defenders were cutting it out. Lee would be screaming for it to be left for him to deal with it. Thought we were quite poor today with Lyle having a poor day, but if we can get points when not at our best I think we will be pretty happy. Paton struggled to get involved today but did brilliantly to set up our third.
Ghost of Harkness
Poor performance. Livi dominated 1st 35 mins and to go in ahead was flattering. We then dominated for a similar period 2nd half before capitulating. Durnan must get an opportunity on Tues.
Sloop John B
Antell was fine, he kept us in the game and wasn't at fault for any of the goals. The omnishambles in the centre of defence is both Higgins and Dowie's doing. Edited August 17, 2013 by Sloop John B

Durnan has to play on Tuesday night.
Monkey Tennis
Durnan has to play on Tuesday night. It's so obvious that I bet he doesn't. Seriously.

The omnishambles in the centre of defence is both Higgins and Dowie's doing. Agreed that Antell wasn't at fault for any of the goals but the lad does need to be more decisive when deciding to go for corners and crosses. Im also not convinced by the partnership of Dowie and Higgins but unsure if Durnan and Higgins is the answer to the problem long term.
aggie#11
Personally Higgins looked a lot less convincing today than Dowie. Twice he was caught out early on and never looked comfortable. Thought Holt was the best defender today and Burns did well in midfield. Not many stand outs really though. If Durnam is brought back in on Tuesday, who would you drop... Higgins or Dowie?

He misjudged a couple of high balls early on, but that was about it. I cant believe you're even asking the question of who should be dropped. Unfortunately, I can see us lining up on Tuesday with Dowie still in the side

Dowie for me beaten far too easily for first goal and tried a couple of passes out of defence that were never on in a million years. Durnan and Higgins is a tried and tested partnership. Antell did nothing wrong today and made a couple of good saves even if they were fairly routine for a good keeper but I think he makes the cb's panicky and there is no confidence there. To concede 6 goals in two games something certainly isn't quite right.
