It's 3 points for a win whoever we play , it's irrelevant if they're full or part-time

Agree with that.

I remember not too long ago we were a part time side some called us the 'best' in Scotland we were no walk overs for the full time clubs then so what's the difference now?

Yes and the 3 part time teams in the league are probably the 'best' part time teams in Scotland now. Beating these clubs is encouraging but is hardly worth shouting from the rooftops though and I'd rather gauge progression with results against other full time clubs.

Final list of Iain Scott's signings.

Did you not have Dmytro Pronevych(spelling is wrong!) during that spell as well? I'm fairly sure he went to QOTS after us, but maybe I'm too early in your management timeline.

He was on trial with us before he was with you I think but the list is of those who were signed. Pronovych never was.

Anyway, on that note, are we up for the "Chisholm List" tonight?

Gordon Chisholm was appointed manager of Queen of the South on 7th May 2007. He resigned to take the Dundee job on 21st March 2010, not quite three years later. That makes him the 3rd or 4th longest serving manager in our history ignoring the various spells of the Boards or McKinnel's being in charge. Only John Connolly (4yrs and 1 week) and Alec Wright (3yrs and 2 mths) were definitely in place longer. Mike Jackson might have been depending on exactly when in 1975 he was appointed (I haven't been able to source anything more accurate than "summer").

Chisholm was therefore in charge through six windows so had more signings than most. It depends exactly what you count how many he made. I have him listed for 50 signings BUT the following provisos apply:

- On more than one occasion Chisholm signed the same player more than once. If there was a definitive period registered to another club in between then it is counted more than once in the list too.

- His list includes at least three players who registered with us as amateurs over a short term. Two of them never actually played for us.

- 16 of the 50 are loan signings.

- As previously, persuading existing players to re-sign new deals does not count and neither is anyone counted who was simply promoted up from the youth ranks.

Finally there could conceivably be a 51st signing depending on how you count it but I'll cross that bridge when and if somebody mentions the name.

Let the games begin...................
