That's why we spend almost a decade stuck in the second tier while every other club was spending themselves to oblivion. You lot spent £100k on Ross Draper and offered Brian Graham well over £2k a week to be a back up striker. If you're genuinely deluded enough to somehow think your past few seasons spend is even close to realistic or sustainable then you're in for a dough ride when McGregor goes. So we have a shareholder, of over 30 years, who invests his own money, get over it. It's not like MacGregor is borrowing money from the bank that we'll not repay, or taking money of cash strapped local councils, again never to repay? We also have other shareholders who invest into the club too, most expect minimal if any return. What kind of fool expects to make money out of their local football team? STUNNED. You’re a bellend. What McGregor’s built up in Dingwall for County is very, very good and has not only benefited County but I’d imagine the development of the game up in the Highlands. Only a bellend couldn’t see it.

McGregor hasn't built anything. Hes created a youth structure and squad that is completely and utterly unsustainable, and a young fanbase who expect top flight football. What happens when he leaves, County have to rely solely on their income, and they drop to becoming a mid-table Championship side? All that turns to dust. At least the fans got a trophy to take from it, theres been plenty of clubs spending way beyond their means who didnt manage that. -

yoda
I'm seething that County have been running a doping programme that would make Lance Armstrong blush, and the money was spent on Brian Graham and Ricky Foster.

As taken from perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk “named after local farmer Bruce McDiarmid who generously donated the land on which the stadium was built” ffs tell the truth. tree house tam
It was a nominal fee, they had to pay something if recall correctly, think it was similar to The Rangers value.
Staggie52
Maybe some of those criticising County for being unsustainable would like to explain what that means. It’s sustained us through six seasons in the top league. It’s sustained us to a Scottish cup final and a League cup. In the meantime we’ve developed the stadium from. Highland league stadium to an all-seated stadium. The stadium has facilities for hospitality on match days , we have a supporters bar in the ground. The stadium has function rooms used by local businesses and others outside matchdays. The bar functions as a restaurant outside match-days. We have training facilities on site both indoors and outdoors, state of the art gyms envied by many top Scottish teams. Yes, it’s been done with the financial clout of McGregor but not just him. Is this sustainable? If Roy pulls out tomorrow we will still have the facilities. Will we struggle to get back to the top level? Probably, but we’ll continue as a local side for much of the Highlands north of Inverness. Of course Roy might stay and continue the plan to develop the facilities, attract better income streams from non-football sources and continue to develop football in the North of Scotland. I think that will sustain professional football in Dingwall for the foreseeable future and that’s sustainable enough for me. Of course if anyone wants to spout unsubstantiated claims about wages and the amount of money actually puts into his local team feel free.
TheScarf
It’s Ross County employees themselves telling punters what wages the players are getting. It happens at every club. Players wages get revealed all the time by employees or indeed the players. N’Gog on 30k a month and Davies on 3k a week are two I’ve been told. County have their business model and other clubs have theirs. Good luck to them.
