Also, the turnstyle at Coal Road has 2 turnstyles (so it's more than single file) and next to that there's a gate for cars to get in and out that could be used for exiting punters if push came to shove. Not disputing that, just pointing out that there is an exit at Talbot that is single file through a set of turnstiles Pollok have the double gate next to the turnstiles and the large double gate at the side of Loks, so at least on par with most teams around the leagues

F_T_Y
10% for a league game you could accept but for the cup game who decides the percentage of tickets?

F_T_Y
No safety barriers under the enclosure so can't be used. Bit of a minter for pollok.
Broomhill Ultra
So only 900 for the televised game against Huntly? That’s a real shame for advertising the wosfl.

Killiepiyo
It was major operation involving many parties, meetings, alterations and council planning for Talbot to get their capacity and ground standard to host the like of Hearts. The benefit being that all that work meant should a massive fixture come around again, Beechwood would be in a position to host similar in future.
PossilYM
Pollok will have serious problems in the years to come with Newlandsfield. The ground is boxed in on every side. They couldn't add an extra exit gate or new terracing. Long term they couldn't even go for a two or three sided developed ground like say a Renfrew or Annan. Going forward along with the other big guns in the West, the Pollok committee with have a few decisions to make with that old ground. Great location but a 900 capacity is hopeless if they want to attract new fans on the upward journey. Ground share with Queens Park might be an option.

Newlandsfield is a great venue and this mad generation should just let people attend and pack the place , it was never a problem in the 70s/80s/90s when junior crowds peaked and it shouldn't be a problem now to pack Newlandsfield, we live in a soft world and it's nuts
Lokloyal
Sadly a ground which quite comfortably can and has held several thousand is now severely restricted due to GCC’s regulations.Very frustrating for everyone especially looking around at other grounds with big open/grassy slopes and areas where larger capacities are permitted-but again subject to different local authorities. All of it adds up to issues for all fans and the potential of significant losses to the club none of which are good.

Its actually a sad indictment to life these days in terms of health and safety going bonkers, a packed newlandsfield is of no harm to anyone and as I said before the cracking crowds of the 70s/80s/90s was never a problem so why should it be now ? One of the classic football grounds is being reduced to this nonsense and the snowflakes and drama queens are winning the day when the ground is perfectly fine and how good did it look last night under the lights , it just felt complete with the lights shining .

Got to love it when folk don't know the difference between health and safety and political correctness. What has "snowflakes and drama queens" got to do with any of this? it's not a left wing conspiricy ffs.
BANKIEBILL
I was at the game last night and there was a very healthy crowd ( around 700 mibbee with only a clutch of Beith fans ). All felt very safe and roomy. I understand that the capacity issue is with a lack of barriers and steep nature of the covered terracing ?? I do hope that some remedial work can be carried out but bloke I was speaking to said it was upwards of 80 grand's worth so a pretty penny. Still one of the best ( if not the best ) grounds at non-league level.
