Türkiye are a gang. Wales will finish above them even if Top Knot Dickhead has retired.

Also, only a maximum of one League D team can make playoffs so Latvia can't.

Turkey finished above Norway in world cup qualifying for qatar

What's with the "Türkiye" chat?

Earlier this year, they changed from having Turkey and Türkiye as official names for their country, and it's now just Türkiye.

I'd say fair enough, but apparently plenty of Turks refer to their country as Turkey. Not much of a surprise move for a fascist leader TBH; they're probably just not Turkish enough for him.

It's all gobbledygook to me.

The only way to deal with haaland effectively is for some absolute haddie of a Scottish player to wipe him out in a league game before the internationals.

Damn, Norwich are in the Championship this season.

It's not an evenly matched group, Dryhorce. Both ourselves and Norway will be looking for full points from Georgia and Cyprus. Neither of them are qualifying. Spain will be disappointed to drop points to anyone.

If Norway didn't have Haaland, we'd be more confident about our chances of qualifying from this group. Maybe we're being a bit pessimistic; we don't have an attacking player of his quality, but we're also not in the position where a single player dropping out of the squad would be a major disaster.

Norway are obviously a decent team, but Haaland isn't new and even with him Norway have failed to qualify for Euro 2020 whilst we did (by beating the team who put them out the playoffs), failed to even make the WC Playoffs, and didn't win their NL League B group.

Just as we are in pot 2 for a reason, so too are Norway in pot 3 for one. We should be just as confident of our ability to finish above them as they will be about us.

Georgia and Cyprus are big banana skins, Spain aren't what they were but are still better than us. Norway have Haaland...

BUT

Norway didn't qualify for the World Cup either and have had some incredibly moderate results. Haaland will become a target in the Munnybags English league and Champions and Other Teams League, so may well pick up injuries and miss some ties.

I'm clutching at straws, but there's always the straw of the play-off...

Win midfield battle starve them off chances hopefully Calmac will be back by then first name on the team sheet these days

We got the midfield that can do this if they prepare and focus to do the job

How many off the Cyprus players are playing in the champions league for Lennon?

Anybody thinking they or Georgia will be easy are tripping and kidding themselves on

Absolutely no way we would have wanted them, but on the other hand with recent results we shouldn't be fearing anyone but we need to be at 100 per cent every match to win

Bit of a World Cup '90 reunion going on.
Probably about as difficult as we could have got, but there's still plenty of hope. Grant Hanley keeps Haaland in his pocket for two games and we'll be fine.
Don't forget we were going to be tanked by Norway in the Nations League play-offs, only for Serbia to put them out on their arse. I forget what happened in the next match...
Milinkovic-Savic was going to obliterate us.
In fact he barely did a thing of note.
