latapythelegend
McGlynn's subs cost us today. Once you Morrison through the middle the game is gone.
Russ
McGlynns subs there were boggin. Hetherington for Oliver is bizarre and Burrell, while not having his best game, offered a presence up front that we didn’t have when he went offline . Still looked like we could nick it though, but pretty poor performance all round.Agree about Burrell however it’s no surprise that Hetherington coming on coincided with us getting more of a foothold on the game. We had been completely ineffective in midfield and putting him there along with McGinn helped us massively. Thought he played well when he came on.
Brummo
Thought a point a piece was a fair result as neither team really deserved to win. We never recovered the slick passing game we had in the first quarter. We rode our luck at times during the second half but thankfully we weren't punished for defensive slackness - and neither were Falkirk. We will need a better performance than that to take anything from next Saturday's game. Looking forward to it already. Hope Rory's injury isn't too bad as he can be useful for us when he's firing on all cylinders.
Reggie Perrin
Probably a decent point considering how mediocre we were today.
PortyMo
Falkirk by far the better team second half and looked the more likely to get the win until the last 10 minutes when we decided to have a go. Looked like a stone waller penalty when Kennedy went down. What was the verdict from Bairns end? A draw probably the fair result.
Guest Back Post Misses
The tone was set in about five seconds when Yeats miscontrolled the ball. They could have put the game out of site in the first 20 min before we started to get a foot on the ball and started to pass the ball. Ironically we had a grip on the game when Burrell gave it away and they scored. We were better 2nd half but missed too many chances. Montrose are very physical, very direct but on the whole we handled them pretty well. Draw was probably fair

Bigbri Bairn
Said a point would have been acceptable before the game so result fine by me. A lot of teams will struggle against the Mo at home. Take it and move on. Perhaps the fifers goal against FC Edinburgh will burst the plucky Edinburghs bubble -
Hartleys18/19Army
We should have nicked it. Montrose are organised and solid but we blew so many chances and as a montrose man says earlier, that was a penalty on Kennedy.
mo83
Good performance today from Montrose and a point each was a fair result. Thought Montrose started off really well with the wind behind them and took the deserved lead. The lad Mcguffie? Seems to score against us all the time, great strike to be fair no chance the keeper was getting it. Second half end to end stuff with Falkirk probably shading it but like a said before a point each was fair. Never knew this till today but Finn Yeats who was playing for Falkirk today his dad Craig Yeats had a spell at the Mo in the 90s.
BountyBairn
That penalty denial was something else. Officials shocking for both sides (only saw second half but they were ganting)
PortyMo
I take it ganting is a Fawkirk word.

Just a bairn
Fair result I think. I don’t think either team every really dominated for any major spells. Absolutely horrific refereeing for both sides. Worst decision for me of the day was when Dillon (I think?) was “fouled” in his own box towards the end by collapsing over to protect the ball , and the officials bought it noticed quite a bit of criticism for the subs for us but to be honest I thought the subs actually changed the game in our favour. Penalty on Kennedy for me - that’s a foul anywhere else on the pitch.

latapythelegend
Watching it back I don't think k it is a pen, the left neck uses his body well. I also think him and Dillion strolled that game.
