Its all pish designed to take our eye away from things like the kunt Mone and he husband stealing our money.
Jeff Venom
Given the sheer volume of money sloshing through the UK in the past 40+ years it's an utter rid neck that there even is a "levelling up" fund to update hovels up and down the country to an even notionally acceptable state.

From what I’ve seen there’s very little productive investment and a load of white elephants. Our local investment is £50m for a railway line between 2 stations in the city that are 15 mins walk apart, and saving you a five minute walk to the other station that already has a connection. Most of the money in Wales is going to build rural cycle routes and walkways which will presumably just be left to rot, like most of the other ones have been. As an aside, I haven’t seen a source for these figures but the (labour)Welsh government reckons they’re still £1.1bn short after losing EU funding, which the stupid c***s that live here voted for. Anyway, it’s all bread and circuses.
Salt n Vinegar
Another fixed penalty notice for Sunak. If the police give him a third, do they get to keep him?

So many Tories seem to idolise (and even pine for the return of) BoJo that it's no surprise that hangers on from his premiership take the same attitude to common decency, "rules" (ha-ha) and the law. As for the former Chancer of the Exchequer... I mean who among us hasn't had to make a seven figure payment to HMRC including a penalty for 'something'... but answer questions about this novel approach to perfectly normal tax arrangements? Errr... no. Sunak? For a politician, getting caught out once was bad, getting caught twice is 'a bit awkward' , getting caught three times.... probably would just cement his reputation with the 'base'. Seriously folks, the Westminster elite... shining examples of "integrity, professionalism and accountability" at every level and no mistake.

Salt n Vinegar
Nice to see Sunak helping at least one part of the economy. Over the last few days I've been receiving birthday cards, one of which features a cartoon image if our PM with the caption "A birthday is like a Prime Minister... It'll be gone before you know it so enjoy it while you can!" Oh, the banter. Happy enough if he goes, but not enjoying it much while he's here.

That as prime minister he had it in his power to sack the Tory party chair. Except, when push came to shove, Sunak just couldn’t bring himself to be that brutal. He just didn’t have it in him. He knew what it was to be a fugitive from the authorities. A serial offender with lockdown parties and unfixed seatbelts on his charge. So he owed it to Nadhim to keep him on. Even if the government looked totally corrupt. Or maybe it was just that the Tory party was just ungovernable. That he couldn’t ask Zahawi to resign in case he said no. That the only reason MPs had chosen Sunak to be their leader was because he could be relied on to be ineffective. Not even someone to manage the inevitable decline. Rather someone to let things go completely to shit. Freefall. Bring it on. Whatever. One way or another, Zahawi was still in a job when Sunak appeared in the commons for prime minister’s questions. Labour voices greeted his arrival with yells of “Where’s Nadhim?”. Rish! shrugged. He had no idea. One lone existential howl of pain echoed from his own benches. The chronicle of a death foretold."
