Aye, there was a Mumsnet post made from one of their regulars about it, saying "OMG, it can't be OUR Sparklingbrook, can it?" *Helen Lovejoy gif*

Miguel Sanchez
Quote Some of the 25,000 members of Pie and Bovril thought it would be funny to post fake queries on Mumsnet. They asked daft questions about “eating mushy peas with placenta”, “my wife’s weight” and “husbands and homemade porn”. One Pie and Bovril member posed as a mum who was considering sending her son away to live with her wealthy sister – a spoof of the storyline of US hit show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The blokes also posted insults on their own chat forum, branding Mumsnet as “the most twee, sickening, sycophantic bunch of crones in north-western Europe”. Sounds about right.
Zen Archer (Raconteur)
I recall during the Mumsnet battle, some P&B'ers joined the site to wreak havoc but got binned quickly. I suggested someone ask for a recipe for placenta, @itsdrk promptly went on an got dish with mushy peas and gravy.
Granny Danger
Having carried out an in-depth analysis I can confirm the best posters joined around May 2009. Sadly most of them died from COVID.

King Ian
Quote The comments got so offensive that site administrators at Pie and Bovril banned Mumsnet “trolls” from their site. Even back then, the term 'troll' was being flung about willy nilly Edited December 27, 2022 by King Ian
Honest Saints Fan
I think I can rightfully say P&B has had a huge impact on my life since I started posting in 2008!

Sugar_Army
Just the 10 years for me. More a lurker than a poster. I was on Footy Mad and TAMB before this. Found the Scotlad Mad forum full of rockets and have not been on it gor years although I occasionally look/post on U ited Mad. Must have searched for something to occupy my mind while travelling in some far off land. Never knowingly met anybody off of here, perhaps not a bad thing
CityDave94
Joined just over 12 years ago, had lurked since around 2006. So joined after we had been relegated from the SPL. Had enough of Scottish Football after a few years groundhopping and supporting Inverness CT and Inverness City and everything was up in the air and wanted to do something else. Was in Elgin to watch Bishopmill Utd vs New Elgin and while there I decided to give the forum a go, nothing to lose. Well I joined and within the first week I got called beige by Reynard, nearly pissed my trousers laughing at that and decided to continue. Was on the Scottish Football Forum for a short time, CTO and Fitba North. Football is addictive. Wished that LOL@Celtic/THE ONE, aka the Dumbarton fanny could have been on the forum when Rangers died. Proudest moment - helping Lichtie4Life break the record for the most posts on the forum within 24 hours Smashed it What a guy.

Duszek
I discovered P&B around 2003/2004 through effeffelle, the online footy manager game. There were a few P&B posters on there. Won the League & Cup double with Alianza Byres Road. Admittedly through skullduggery. But no more than the next man.
