Callum McGregor is like the older boy that stayed in your street when you were a wee boy who always played football with the wee kids so he could be the best player and feel good about himself however when it was time to play football with the boys his same age, size and ability level he always shat it and made an excuse.

You stayed in a weird street, mate.

There is at least five 3pm kick offs that would be way more interesting a game than this glorified training session.

At least Sky need to care about viewership and advertisement money. Wtf do BBC get out of this?

Yeah this was a really weird pick by the BBC any neutral would have turned over to the Barclays game after the second went in. They must have expected Premier viaplay to do their usual and take both old firm games and then shat the bed when they didn’t.

Arbroath v Motherwell or even Stirling Uni’s trip to Tannadice have better stories to them,

Did he? We had Chrissy Jones in our street who was better than all of us but was about 13 or 14 playing against a bunch of 9 and 10 year olds. Strangely never saw him playing with footballers his own age.

Never a penalty that. I was all for VAR coming in but it’s a proven shambles already.

VAR isn't the problem. But when you take the same cheating institution and put them in charge of it, it's hardly a shock that the cheating continues.

Even when it goes against Celtic?

The in stadium var experience is awful. Took ages, still haven't seen what it was for, didn't even know what team it was for until the decision was made. Nobody even shouted for a penalty. Just get on with the game and accept sometimes people get away with things.

I'll always maintain that referees dont consciously go in to games planning to cheat in favour of the old firm.

More they just shite themselves from giving decisions that dont go their way because of the abuse they'll receive. Its easier to give them the decision and avoid the wrath of their frothing fan base.

Basically just shitebags. And i include the SFA in not dealing strongly (or at all) with the constant shite pouring from the stands.

Well VAR is the problem them, because that's how it works.

You hear this all the time. "It's not the technology, it's the way it's being used." Yeah, which is an integral part of 'the technology'. It relies on human interpretation, and what we've seen time and again both here and abroad, is that referees can't use that technology to provide better outcomes than they did when they were just refereeing games in the traditional, analogue sense.

I'm sure some VAR apologists could come up with some number for whatever increased percentage of decisions are technically correct with VAR, but it's not worth everything that's lost when VAR is used.

If Kevin Clancy sees that incident live and gives a penalty (which he didn't, of course), it'd still be wrong but you can forgive it. Football's a fast game and he only gets one look at it. But when you take three minutes out of the game, where everyone in the ground is left on hold, and two referees look at multiple slowed down replays and still think that's a penalty? It's a scandal, and it's VAR that's the root cause.

The utter shite defensive collapse can't just be glossed over. Some really sloppy play in positions where you are going to get punished for it. Very disappointed by the way that half ended - it's not good enough. Thought Grimshaw at right back was largely blameless and stood up to his challenge very well though.

It is a completely thankless task to remain tight and not make mistakes, when after 20 minutes of doing just that and creating more chances than the home team, they just get awarded an utter nonsense penalty to render it  pointless. Scottish football itself with VAR stinking the place out is pointless.

That's the third nonsense penalty decision awarded to swing a game away from us this month. Sir Douglas should be giving Uncle Neil a call to sort out the corruption within the SFA.

You've just described cheating. It doesn't matter how these ref's try to justify it in their own minds.

VAR won't fix incompetent sub-par performances from incompetent sub-par officials.

Instead of being idiots in real time, they are all just idiots with shiny technology now.

VAR is not the problem, the problem is the same now as it has been for many, many years. Hopeless, spinless, brainless officials.
