How's your nerves? SMFC vs KFC 22/4/23

Recommended Posts

For those who can't make the game BBC Alba are showing the full 90 min twice on Saturday. For me it's a straight forward St Mirren win . Killie will huff and puff to no avail their away record speaks for its self as does the points difference. You can tell how much St Mirren want top six this squad has determination. Hope Killie stay up they have other battles to help keep them in the league.

Worryingly that's not massively unlikely!

I still think we are more than capable of getting a result, and think that Goodwin's team could get some points at Tannadice.

The Killie/Livi double alone pays about 10/1 bookies seem to think it's fairly unlikely.

Yeah we had a VAR batshit call against your team a couple of weeks ago. I don’t wish you any harm though and hope you win. Tony Watt to score a double. You do need to stop Armstrong though.

If we were one of the cheeks……….one of our pals in the media would write a story about us signing him.

Says everybody involved, besides Collum himself.

Yup, everyone who knows the first thing about watching Willie Collum referee is that he is in no way biased against any side in the league.

What he is though is so grossly incompetent and so fucking unbelievably petty that you never know if you're going into the game in his good books or his bad books. We've had games where we've had nothing at all from him and games where the opposition have had nothing at all to our benefit and I'd imagine nearly every clubs' support in the entire league feels the same way about him.

And it's horrible, that feeling that rather than a level headed and composed referee in the middle, you're more or less chucking a loaded gun into the mixer.

I posted this on the RC v Dons thread a couple of days ago, to highlight past incidents where a follow through was given a red.

In that game the ref didn't give a foul.

It was pre-VAR, but the 4th official told the referee to red card Shaughnessy.

That 4th official - W Collum.

Still, at least he doesn't have Douglas Ross with him this time.

A man who in this fixture a few years ago gave Killie a goal when photos showed he could not possibly have seen whether the ball crossed the line or not.

Anyway, hope Collum is NOT a factor on Saturday, but I'd probably have taken any referee other than him for this game.

Kenny McLean had a red card rescinded after a Collum special in new year game with Kilmarnock a while back. I had a decent view of the play and my jaw was on the floor when he did his wee excited sprint towards the 'incident' waving his red card.

You give him the benefit of the doubt, thinking you must have missed whatever he saw, then you see the TV replays and, sure enough, nothing.
