Celtic v Motherwell 22/4/23

Recommended Posts

We're all a bunch of Debbie Downers this week, eh? It was only one bad result last week against the team fighting for survival! idk guys... with Big Kev's form recently... and their recent results... I think if we start bright and early... and get in their faces... we could score at least one.

I would agree with this. Also Because Anges recruitment has been so good we have benefited the most from this and can afford to keep our larger squad more match fit should we get injuries by being able to make changes with less risk. I have no idea why on other teams voted to keep it, I think alot of them just took feedback from their coach at the time which was short sited.

Yeah, Celtic are quite right to use the rule change to their advantage. Even with the likes of using Kyogo for an hour, it's probably kept him fresh and less injured than he was last season. It just makes the contest so much less appealing for the rest of the league. I can see how it may have been a good idea when COVID was rife but it's dumbfounding the majority of clubs voted it in. I can't even remember, for example, Martin O'Neill's Celtic team consistently making subs that don't lessen the team.

I’m in London, will check in at half time to see the line up and the score at that time, will find out the outcome later.

Get a heavy tackle in early on and see them back off to save themselves.

It won’t work.  Slattery to be sent off.

After the absolute shitshow of a season we had until Kettlewell came in, it's a fucking miracle that our GD is only -4. Compared to the teams below us, that's as good as an extra point, should we have an unlikely but major arse-collapse in the run in and end up back in the relegation mix.

No appetite for this game whatsoever and another wholly predictable and inevitable loss incoming. Just try not to concede too many lads and keep that wee cushion intact, eh?

3-0 routine home win and move on to the games that actually matter would be acceptable enough imo. Just get it done.
