Arch Stanton
That trophy is like something you'd play for at PowerLeague compared to our League Cup trophy.

Of the team that finished the game, five have 10 or fewer league appearances in their entire careers, most of those as late substitutes. Crawford Bridge
I used to call Mudryk the Ukrainian Theo Walcott. Now I'm thinking that's probably unfair on Walcott.

Bringing kids through your own academy sounds a great idea. Don't know why only Liverpool do it

It's a huge game you badly want to win, you're underdogs, the way things pan out you've no right to win the game, your players are out of their arses, you out-sing the opposition for two hours and carry the team, and the win it in the last few minutes. They're top of the league and playing a team in 11th, they have every right to win the game.
Sherrif John Bunnell
Skipping over the minter that this has been posted by the MP for Glasgow East, I do love the myth that Liverpool's success is down to hard work and passion. It's definitely not because their bilionaire owners have spent hundreds of millions on signing the best players on the planet.

They were massive underdogs by the time that game went into extra time and no amount of understandable annoyance with the commentary team changes that.

Sure, he's a numpty, but people get wound up at this kind of thing because they want to.

The Chelsea team that cost a billion to assemble is the same Chelsea team sitting in 11th place in the league, they're not two separate entities. The fact they're expensive doesn't detract from the fact that they are rubbish. The bulk of the Liverpool side who finished the game have been the same ones who led them to the top of the table, it stretches the definiton to suggest that Kelleher and Quansah are anything other than first team squad members at this point. Only Clark, McConnell and Danns can realistically be described as untested youth players, and they were playing alongside several experienced internationals. Plucky underdogs they were not.

Sorry, since when were Chelsea fans considered to be exceptionally wealthy?
