His contract’s listed at 440k, so that’s a tiny bit short of 8% of his income he’s given to the geez. Or in P&B terms, yon Hearts fan paying you 72p per hour to get the old chap oot. Round it up to 80p.
Boo Khaki
Seems this might not be the end of this in any case, because the 'no criminal charges' only refers to the events involved in the original complaint, and there are at least two other outstanding complaints to be investigated and resolved.

ClydeTon
So the true story here is that the sun will print a load of shite and will use any allegation (however career threatening or life changing) just to get people reading their site or buying their papers? Well, that's a shock. What's next, pigs flying over London?

That would be the morally correct thing to do. But we're talking about The Sun here.

It might take 27 years and be totally insincere, but yeah, I am sure they will.

The Sun couldn't spell apology with spell checker on and it written down in front of them. C***s!

I'm no certain it's the BBC who is deserving of the apology here. Perhaps they could claim reputational damage, but in so far as I can see, they've only done what any employer is obliged to do under the circumstances, i.e. protect the identity of all involved, and stick their employee on gardening leave while they investigate. welshbairn
According to his wife, the first he heard about the complaints was when the Sun published them. If true that would be a serious deriliction of duty by the BBC, especially if it was to keep him chipper for the Queen's funeral.
