Rangers never got relegated. They went bust and had to start a new club in the bottom tier. Posted July 14, 2023 Share Posted July 14, 2023 Won't be making any predictions outside the top 2 until we get closer to the start of the season however.... .....I have a wee sneaky feeling Rangers could win the league this season. 1. That new Celtic kit is giving off major bad vibes. 2. The whole, "never go back" Brendan thing. Won't take much for the Celtic fans ("Best fans in the world") to turn on the team, especially if there are poor early Euro results. 3. Rangers got rid of deadwood that was holding them back and seem to have signed decent standard players. Celtic have lost a key player and are taking punts in the transfer market. 4. Celtic's defence is still howlin' bad and Johnson is going to miss the start of the season. 5. Any time I saw Rangers and Celtic last season, Rangers looked the better team to me. Woodster Posted July 14, 2023 Share Posted July 14, 2023 1 - ****, too much financial power over rest. 2 - ****, still more financial power than rest. 3 - Dons, Oor Barry knows what he is doing. 4 - Hibs, appear to be a bit more settled. 5 - Hearts, not convinced with their manager or recent lack of recruitment. 6 - Motherwell, Kettlewell doing a decent job. 7 - St Mirren, Robinson also doing a decent job. 8 - St Johnstone, McLean may surprise a few. 9 - Kilmarnock, home form will prevent relegation but away form will still be shite. 10 - Dundee, the Doc has enough about him to survive. 11 - Ross County, Malky will just do enough, again. 12 - Livingston, time for relegation me thinks. stu2910 Posted July 14, 2023 Share Posted July 14, 2023 Logic would suggest that Dundee have to, at some point, just stay in a division, with the current run since 18/19 being relegation, promotion play off (covid), promoted (play off), relegated, promoted (champions). Matty-RCFC Posted July 14, 2023 Share Posted July 14, 2023 Not 100% sure in terms of 1-12 shouts so I’ll probably do that in 2-3 weeks but I’ve got a few hunches for the season: - Top 2 to be far closer than the past couple years. - Aberdeen to be 3rd by a mile. - Both Edinburgh sides to struggle - Dundee to do well under Docherty and be well safe of relegation - Ourselves, Livingston and St Johnstone to dog it out. Ross County I really think we will do okay. We kind of Yo-Yo between the top half and bottom half every season or so.
