I do wonder the effectiveness of playing Vaughan and Easton in the same 3 behind the striker. We need Smith or Ethan Ross to play wide to offer a bit more directness. What absolute shite.

My thoughts initially as well, but their away strip is green with white chevrons, so I might just about have to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Specky Ginger
The first half wasn't a pretty watch, but I think it was just a case of letting them throw their punches, then picking them off as they tired. Great set up play by Easton for the 2nd and 3rd. Job done.
mrpaddyx
Fairly straightforward win in the end. Could have done without the mini pitch invasion after the match though.
Scary Bear
Second half we really stepped it up. Really good competent performance and deservedly got a few goals.
Stardog_champion
Cliftonville were decent, I’ve enjoyed watching their highlights. I’ll keep an eye on them this season
Broken Algorithms
Comfortable in the end. A clean sheet for both our keepers, a goal and MOTM award for a young centre half, as well as one for Hamilton which should help his confidence. Their right back will be having nightmares about Easton - the defender didn't have a clue how to stop him time and time again. In the end he was just standing off going for damage limitation. Could've been a few more but for some good saves for the Cliftonville goalkeeper. Connolly, rather understandably, looks well off the pace in terms of match readiness. He'll be rusty but I'm sure he'll be up to speed soon enough. The kebab pie was an absolute godsend to a hungover soul, and probably helped handle the noise at the back. It's mildly annoying when you see the pitch invasion at the end - the club will do everything to cater to those younger fans up the back but it's really hard to give a measured response when they invade the pitch in a diddy cup game because nobody will want to scare them off. Not much you can do other than sticking with it and having a wee chat with them about why it's going to cost the club. Finally, a really decent travelling support from Cliftonville. All the best to them for the rest of the season.
SanStarko
First half was pretty much a write off with nothing really happening. But far better second half, Easton pretty much doing whatever he felt like down the wing. Thought Byrne was good too, he doesn't do anything spectacular but his calmness and experience is clear to see. Glad Hamilton got his goal, as a few minutes before it Vaughan had taken a quick free kick and put Hamilton clean through and the keeper saved his shot. But it was really one he should have been putting away, and I'd expect full of confidence he would do so it was good that he did get his goal shortly after. Hopefully Millen going off was nothing to worry about given we've no other natural RB to cover for him if he's out. Ro Sham Bo
I thought Cliftonville were really poor. Offered nothing apart from the odd long ball over the top of our back 4 and could barely string more than a couple of passes together. We were also poor in the first half but stepped it up after the break and the result was never in doubt after we scored. Delighted for Masson to get a goal.

CALDERON
Thought Cliftonville were really poor, similar standard to Albion Rovers earlier in the season. Once we could be arsed, was a walk in the park.

You can almost guarantee at some point, someone who's had a few pints in them will kick off. Honestly think the club would do well to tell the person that they shouldn't be bringing it in. Everyone's entitled to their views, but it's clearly going to end in tears and snotters at some point.
