RAITHROVERS84
Thanks for Josh Mullin. I assume with your results thus far you’ve adequately replaced him?

Milne may be suspended which will be a huge loss for you, but we simply won't be able to handle a front 3 of Lawless, Graham, and Fitzpatrick. yeah even with NGWENYA letting Chalmers walk past him every time it was a walk in the park. Good to know i was wrong lol

Yes, we have. Unfortunately we have downgraded in basically every other position.

Fuctifano
Chalmers is really good at this level, surprised United punted him. Maybe the worst haircut in the league though, looks like the love child of Stephen Mcconalogue and Jack Grealish. Ngwenya did ok against him, you can see when he's got the ball how rapid he is and that allows him to recover even if his defensive skills aren't great. Second goal was the dagger, up til that point Ayr looked more likely. Don't want to moan too much about a four nil away win but Fitzpatrick and Mcinroy are hard to carry on the defensive side. On the plus side that might be Sneddons best game for us, Lawless turned full Maryhill Messi after half time, Adeloye scoring with his first touch after his poor performance last week was nice, and Robinson will definitely contribute as the season goes on.

We lost 0-5 to Partick in May with Josh Mullin playing 90 mins, and only lost 0-4 today with Jamie Murphy playing 90 mins so it's quite clear that we have actually not only replaced him but signed a much better replacement Edited September 15, 2023 by Hursty
JagsCG
We started well, but Ayr definitely looked the more likely to score for most of the first half, and without Sneddon probably would’ve done. Ngwenya really struggled up against Chalmers, who whilst was clearly really effective running at players with genuine pace but really lacked an end quality. Murphy was also very decent for Ayr in the first 45. Apart from maybe the first 10 minutes of the second half I felt we were better and it was comfortable once Lawless had made it 2-0. Midfield also got much better in the second half, where they struggled at times early on. Hopefully McMillan being taken off wasn’t anything too serious (wasn’t even mentioned post match). Subs didn’t a reasonably solid job, and obviously good for Adeloye to get another goal. On the whole not at our absolute best, probably played better in large spells last week and lost, but still can’t complain about a 4-0 win and a clean sheet with a couple of quality goals included.
colliedug
Just watched the highlights again & for all the plaudits are going to Stevie & rightly so but I was immensely impressed with big Adeloye's composure for his goal, sorry Ayr fans but that's what yous sorely miss in your team & he's our second choice up top
