Thistle have had a mixed start to the season but we've shown flashes of being a good team. Ayr seemed to have a had an awful start. Is there much pressure on Bullen yet?

Nah no pressure at all. We’ve been singing his name in glee for weeks.

Surely credit in bank after your highest finish in years?

Aye we all turn up wearing gilets and tell the players to run harder.  We love our bald tactician.

Aye, A lot of the fans have already turned on him and the atmosphere during and after the game on Tuesday night was toxic with lots of boos and anti-Bullen chants. The club are meant to be doing a Q&A video this weekend so will be interesting to see if Bullens future is addressed in it or whether they take the 'nothing to see here' approach.

With regards to the game it has potential to be a real shame game for us. There is definitely still a hangover from the Thistle playoff debacle and I'm fully expecting you to come down and give us a bit of a pumping. I'll definately be lumping on Thistle -3. Inevitable that McInroy and Adeloye will score too.

He’s used it all up to be honest. After the Falkirk game a lot of people’s minds were made up but the start to the season we’ve made coupled with him asking this team to play a way that they can’t and showing no signs of improvement means that I think he’s ran his course.

Just the kind of game where we gift the opposition the points, to get their season back on track...

p.s. Now we are both out the diddy cup can we get the next game moved to an available Saturday?

Graham to get his usual 1-2 goals against us, throw in a couple for McInroy and Adeloye and this could be embarrassing stuff.

As for Bullen having "credit in the bank", there is none. Scraped 2nd last season due to one player covering up all his deficiencies as a manager, is now getting found out after very clear warning signs last season.

As you were emptied out the cup by lower league opposition then i can't see much generosity in your next match. Hopefully we can make use of Saturdays now we are out the cup

Sorry, I don't understand what you have written.

ETA: Not sure if either team would want the 31 October midweek game, scheduled for Firhill brought forward a couple of weeks?

Maybe the February one, down at Somerset Park?

Don't think we'd go for that as we'd voluntarily be ruling out our best centre half in Neilson and probably Mackenzie as well.

We've yet to keep a clean sheet this season, maybe Ngwenya being forced in for Milne who is suspended will be the change we need? Probably not.

Good point

Given that we have created about three half chances in the last two home games, I don't think Thistle will have any bother keeping a clean sheet.

If we lose badly, this will likely be Bullen's final game in charge. A narrow defeat might buy him another week.

With the results going the way they have and the absolute certainty in Ayr fans minds that they will get nothing, it is the kind of game that would result in an Ayr win.

However

Ayr are in a dreadful state, lost the ability to defend, midfield have barely played a senior game at all, never mind in Scotland and we have a forward who has scored with his only two shots in goal, both from a combined distance of a foot.

We will take months to fix and Thistle have continued where they left last season.

Ayr 0 Thistle 5

Ayr 4-0 down at half time
