Squeaks Snowy Bicycle
Would you go to a restuarant that you knew served only halal meat? I have only once eaten halal chicken when I knew it was. I was starving after a day on the beer and it was the only place open. I had a chicken burger.

Wee-Bey
Not been in a few years, but +1 for the Mosque Kitchen. Used to go regularly when I worked up that way.

As long as they've not choked the chicken in the kitchen I'm in.
MONKMAN
Damasquino, the Syrian kebab place on the Saltmarket is superb. I'd thorough recommend the mixed grill.
velo army
The mosque kitchen is class. In Aberdeen we have Lahore Karahi which is also sublime. Personally I prefer a non-halal restaurant as I like a pint with a curry, but how the animal is killed isn't something I'm overly exercised by unless it's overly tortuous.
Bigmouth Strikes Again
A terrible barbaric way to kill an animal. Should be banned. IMO.

coprolite
Stayed in hotels in Muslim countries where it’s all halal. Breakfast buffet with chicken frankfurters and beef bacon is pretty decent. Especially when they served noodles and curry at the same time. I don’t think it’s necessarily more brutal, how they kill stuff. I’ve heard stories about pig’s being drained and partially machine-decapitated chickens in the UK, so I don’t think there’s a cuddly way to make animals into food. But any increase in suffering because of medieval fairy tales is unnecessary.

jimbaxters
This seems a strange topic to have. The meat tastes exactly the same so unless you have a religious prejudice then there should be no reason to avoid halal meat. -
