Not on your mind eh? Fella, you've mentioned "cliques" and "people like me" multiple times tonight. Quite honestly, there's little else in on your mind.

I'm all seriousness, you need to calm down. It's only a forum.

Thought you said nighty nite.

There's a bundle of people who are in the cliques, its pish easy and people like you who do actually derail posts,
You do not bother me at all, your posts are really not interesting and stimulate interesting conversations about football on here, its just a lot of comments, thinking your funny or when you picking on people trying to put them down.  But yeah, you carry on thinking that way that you know what people are thinking

Frasier Crane wouldn't know what you're thinking.

Hi guys, could we all calm down please, suggest too  much unhelpful heat in this thread. Up front, state vested interest,  brought up watching Camslang winning Junior Cup for fun back in the day. Things change, no sign of that happening anytime soon. Still have soft spot for the competition.

That said the priority should be the celebration of  both that and the South Challenge Cup, no need to denigrate one over the other. Of course ideal situation would be National Cup at Tier 5 and below. How about a start with winners of each playing in a " Charity Shield Cup " one off game as a curtain raiser for next season, with all proceeds actually going to charity.

After that  look how to bring both competitions into sync, surely if a World Cup can be played across 6 countries ( terrible idea by the way) we can get our wee part of the planet to work something out.

I can't help regard that as wishful thinking In a country that historically ended up with about 10 different flavours of Presbyterianism.

We do like a split us lot.

The state of this.

You've missed one glaringly obvious point in your utter tripe. The SJC is a voluntary tournament. If clubs lose money then they are evidently ok with that, as opposed to the SCC where they lose money under obligation.

If clubs and their fans want to play in it, enjoy doing so and see it as a preferable tournament then that's for them to decide.

Im not anywhere near as annoyed as the lad having an aneurism over this thread, but your post resonated, its a voluntary cup, so why then have we been shafted with a game with 6 days notice for a team we’ve already played before we play others once? If teams want to elect to play in the cup then more power to them and i hope they go on have a great time and enjoy all this history and tradition, but it shouldnt be at the expense of of the here and now.

I don't disagree with any of that but as a previous post has said, solve your problem by entering the cup. It's not like your lads are weighed down with medals, is it? Here's your chance. Snobbery will not allow it, however.

Love the line that's going around about solve the problem by joining the cup.

Has it gone full participation trophy where you never get knocked out?

Last week it was Buffs fans moaning about having no fixture and this week Clydebank fans moaning about having a fixture. You just can't win it seems like and neither can the fixture secretary. Anything to have a moan about the Scottish Junior Cup.

Undoubtedly there should be one non league trophy for all clubs from tier 5 down but due to politics & the geography of Scotland plus lack of finances / sponsors we are stuck with 2 cups that could & should be better than they currently are.

Junior Cup - should have Lowland League teams, all East and West but won't due to politics & already busy fixture schedules. Travelling costs are a bug bear.

South Challenge Cup - doesn't excite the West team fans & crowds poor for it. The official crowd for our last away game v a Lowland League team was awful. Our away game on Saturday v another lowland league team will likely be similar. No TV coverage and doesn't appeal to the  supporters like Scottish Junior Cup still does as can be seen by later round and final attendances.

But the standard of teams in the Scottish Junior Cup is awful apparently so a billy-big-potatoes team like Clydebank should boss it.
