I prefer Danpak (think it's Aldi) to Lurpak in the butter dept.  Maybe because I like the salty taste.

(waits for it...)

When your obviously try for a Williams but really must do more,

2 substitutes for all Bells products.

Dogshit which is free likely tastes better

Lawn Cuttings also free with remnants of worms and snails cos it has a higher meat content.

I was going through this thread and couldn't help but take umbrage at this post.

Dog shit is not 'free'. It comes at quite considerable expense to the owner. When you take into account the cost of buying a dog, feeding a dog, housing a dog and veterinary bills, you're looking at quite a considerable outlay.

Yes, the dog shit you wantonly pick up on the street may be free to you, but it is not 'free' to the owner of the dog.

HP sauce.  No other brand or unbranded comes close.

Lurpack unsalted spreadable.  It's not that the replacement own brands aren't up to much, it's that they don't exist at all.

I have recently switched to Daddies Sauce, it is cheaper and tastier than HP.

A technicality.

It's free at the point of use. Like the NHS
