oneteaminglasgow Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Both sides looking to bounce back from disappointing weekends. Dowds being out for this could be helpful for us, as I see he’s done fairly well since moving. God knows what our injury situation will look like, but we could really do with some bodies back in. I don’t think it’ll be quite the thrashing that we dished out last time (or the two times before that) but I’ll be optimistic and say 2-0 Thistle. Are you all still wanting Bullen sacked? 0 Quote
Trogdor Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 No Dowds? A front line of Rose & McKenzie? Partick Thistle ? - Ayr United 0 1 Quote
itzdrk Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Certainly more confident than if it had been a home game, not enough to think we will win though. 0 Quote
davidkennedyshand Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 We'll prove how little we've learned from previous hidings. However a late rally when Partick bring on the pie stall staff for a shot will make the scoreline 5-2 0 Quote

ptfc. 22 Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Muirhead should be back in for wasiri, who imo stopped us from being able to play from the back. Ngwenya went off injured at Hampden, no idea how serious it is, regardless we desperately need McMillan back. 0 Quote
GuyIncognito Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Will Partick be selling a stream for this? 0 Quote

Best case for us is probably to go 3 in midfield and try to scrape a draw, we're not winning this. Albinson McAllister Stanger McGinty Reading Syla Young Chalmers Senga Murphy Amartey 0 Quote

I would be happy enough with that team tbh. 0 Quote

Oceanlineayr Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Very good chance us just forfeiting this for the 3-0 defeat would result in a better outcome for our goal difference. 0 Quote
AUcal Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 (edited) We're away so I can see us actually putting in a decent performance, with the aim of pressing Partick quite high and generally aiming to restrict their play wherever possible - looking to take opportunities on the break or via Partick errors that result from our press. In our previous 3 away games we were successful in that approach, got ourselves infront and ended up in relative control for large portions of the game, not solely relying on the pressing tactic - which was very pleasing to see. The issue here is that I think Thistle have a better side than QP, Airdrie or Dunfermline. So we will see if that can actually work here - or if they'll just carve through us with relative ease like they did at Somerset. We also don't have the focal point in Dowds, which will likely be a big loss. I predict Partick 2-1 Ayr. What stand are we in? Edited October 29, 2023 by AuAl 0 Quote
