Dowds being out for this could be helpful for us, as I see he’s done fairly well since moving. God knows what our injury situation will look like, but we could really do with some bodies back in. I don’t think it’ll be quite the thrashing that we dished out last time (or the two times before that) but I’ll be optimistic and say 2-0 Thistle. AUcal Posted October 29, 2023 Share Posted October 29, 2023 (edited) We're away so I can see us actually putting in a decent performance, with the aim of pressing Partick quite high and generally aiming to restrict their play wherever possible - looking to take opportunities on the break or via Partick errors that result from our press. In our previous 3 away games we were successful in that approach, got ourselves infront and ended up in relative control for large portions of the game, not solely relying on the pressing tactic - which was very pleasing to see. The issue here is that I think Thistle have a better side than QP, Airdrie or Dunfermline. So we will see if that can actually work here - or if they'll just carve through us with relative ease like they did at Somerset. We also don't have the focal point in Dowds, which will likely be a big loss. I predict Partick 2-1 Ayr. What stand are we in?
