Bradford seems a poisoned chalice, they seem to be utterly stagnant and have for years.

Yeah.  I think it’s safe to say that period shouldn’t be held against him.

The other good thing is he plays a back four.

He got his jotters from Plymouth Argyle and Morecambe gave him a chance to resurrect his career and he did well with them, got them promoted to League 1 and then immediately left them and dropped down to League 2 with Bradford where things didn’t go very well and he got sacked. Morecambe, meanwhile, had been relegated to League 2 and they then gave him another chance and he has them just outside the play-off places but with a couple of games in hand.

Now he is rumoured to be dumping Morecambe yet again, after all they have done for him, and heading back to Ross County - my knowledge of Adams is that he is a non-swearing Christian – you would think that he would know all about Judas?

9 wins in 37 in English L2 is beyond horrific tbh.

A disappointingly good appointment.

Even worse is he likely wont fit the "ancient dinosaur" status yet, so ill be stuck reading weirdos slating us for hiring Levein instead of *insert former OF player in their 30s with zero top flight managerial experience here* as the latter would show "ambition", until the next club in a dog fight dares go for experience.

Morecambe fans seem generally pretty upset that he is leaving, club seems to be in a bit of turmoil over an ongoing sale.

Surprised he is coming back once again, but god watching that side around 2010 was one of my favourite times following the club.

He's in for a bit of a shock when he rocks up and sees the make up of the current squad. Not a single one of them would get in that 2010 first eleven .

Clearly Eamonn Brophy and Yan Dhanda would, and I think James Brown is class when not going nuts.  But yeah, there are a lot of not very good players there.

Morecambe are going through a very bad spell off the pitch at the moment, club sale and delay in wages.  Don't think it's unreasonable for Adams to leap at a chance to move away from that. (all according the the fan forum for Morecombe, who seem to be rather positive about Derek, so he's not managed to reach the "argue with own fans" stage yet)

Are you really arguing Yan Dhanda isn't better than one of Kettlewell, Lawson, Vigurs or Jimmy Scott? Steady on.

And that's not a knock on some of my personal County favourites, Dhanda is just very good

What's disappointing is your syntax.

Roll forward, a few years and we'll get Callum Mcgregor, Ryan Jack and James Forrest getting touted for the 'diddy' jobs.

Genuine question, but has there been a long serving former OF player that has gone to a top flight team as their first job and been a success?

Anyway, on Adams, it's actually a pretty decent appointment by County. Not his biggest fan, but he is a decent enough manager.
