A lot of under 20s but sadly still an experienced central defensive pairing. Let attack from the off, moving the ball quickly forward with pace….

Mercer looked to have had a howler last weekend so I'm pleased to see him there tbh.

Not at the game.  Stats show heavily in Queens favour but perhaps Embra came back a bit late in the half?  Nice to be in front but need to try and make this safe early second half.  Absolutely have to win this.

Bit concerned to see that Harry is off injured, hope it's not serious.

Aye that's a massive blow if it's serious. As much as he's criticised, we're far worse when he doesn't feature.

Strange sub with Cochrane going off I'd have thought a straight swap for Todd but no we've now changed formation to a 4-4 1 1 and don't  look quite as good!

Have we changed formation? Looked to me like Fergusons dropped back into where cochrane was playing and Connelly has moved inside

Good to get two wins in a row. Hopefully, the team are getting a taste for winning now.

If we can win the next two then we in touching distance of the play off sides. It would be good to end the year on a winning streak.

Yep, Stirling away and Annan at home - no disrespect to those clubs as it won't be easy but we should be capable of going positively into those two games looking for wins.  It's not going to paper over a really poor 2nd quarter but 6 points from those would set us up for a challenge for 4th place.

Well done to Marv and the players. Three wins out of the last 4 league and cup games is more like it. 2 wins over the next 2 and the addition of some quality and steel in the January window would set us up for a more positive position at the seasons end. Top 4 is mandatory or this season would be seen as a failure.

Thankfully a win which was an absolute must given the predicament Edinburgh find themselves in. A very poor decision of the Manager not to replace Cochrane with Todd but it is rumoured that Todd is out of favour after the Hamilton post mortem. In any event the McKay : Ferguson “holding partnership” in midfield definitely didn’t work and when Edinburgh equalised we were in deep trouble because we had lost control of the midfield by that time.

A tremendous Lewis Gibson goal saved the day although far too many players had an off day. It is not difficult to see why we are struggling so badly in this league - better opposition would have run over the top of our midfield in the second half. Robbie Mahon had a very good game for the visitors - he is on loan from Motherwell and if he was to be available would be a good acquisition for somebody.

After the great win last week I was hopeful that we had turned the corner but the way in which we “stop playing” in matches keeps re-occurring but on this occasion we did enough to get over the line.
