Airdrie edged the first half and as soon as we scored St. Johnstone seemed done. Other than Carey having one or two moments they offered nothing in the final third. Kimpioka was a good laugh. Quick, strong and absolutely hopeless on the ball, he screams future Vanarama superstar. Frizzell and Telfer the standouts for Airdrie. I particularly enjoyed Telfer’s run down the right in the second half which had some incredible one touch passing from four or five players. I thought Franczak had a decent enough game at right wing back for St. Johnstone and was surprised they took him off. He was a bit wasted when St. Johnstone changed to a diamond but he’s surely a better attacking option than McGowan? Sadly Levein doesn't seem to actually be seeing him for who he is, and is instead treating him exactly like hes treated young players before. Regularly our best attacking player, and comfortably our best RWB this season, yet gets subbed off at random points or left out because his age draws parallels with Aaron Hickey who couldn't cope with regular senior football at 16.
