Airdrie v St Johnstone

Recommended Posts

Players take their share of the blame bud the majority of that is on Levein today. Ridiculous starting team then tied himself in knots trying to sort out his mess. Ryan McGowan as your only out-ball on the right, seriously?

Great win and as others have said, pretty comfortable in the end. Airdrie edged the first half and as soon as we scored St. Johnstone seemed done. Other than Carey having one or two moments they offered nothing in the final third. Kimpioka was a good laugh. Quick, strong and absolutely hopeless on the ball, he screams future Vanarama superstar.

Frizzell and Telfer the standouts for Airdrie. I particularly enjoyed Telfer’s run down the right in the second half which had some incredible one touch passing from four or five players.

I thought Franczak had a decent enough game at right wing back for St. Johnstone and was surprised they took him off. He was a bit wasted when St. Johnstone changed to a diamond but he’s surely a better attacking option than McGowan?

Shout out to David Hutton for waiting until Mitov was about to collect the ball before blootering it right across the pitch.

Love a bookmark.

Another overwhelming L for Bonksy in his P+B career. You've got to hand it to him, he has resilience to keep coming back from getting bodied almost continually on every thread he posts on.

No complaints, only one team actually threatened all match. We're just shit in the final third in every single way.

Happily see half this team punted this month but Leveins determined signing endless strikers resolves the problem so we're stuck with it.

Who are the endless strikers as they certainly never score?

Yeah he lost the plot a bit.

Franczak the only player in the entire team making any headway running with the ball, so we take him off and make it so easy for Airdrie as they know nobody is taking their marker out.

Hes great. Sadly Levein doesn't seem to actually be seeing him for who he is, and is instead treating him exactly like hes treated young players before.

Regularly our best attacking player, and comfortably our best RWB this season, yet gets subbed off at random points or left out because his age draws parallels with Aaron Hickey who couldn't cope with regular senior football at 16. Problem is Hickey wasn't as physically developed as Franczak is at this stage, so we're hindering ourselves.

Currently have Clark, Kane, May, Kimpioka, Jaiyesimi, Jephcott, and hes wanting another.

3 managers now have decided the only way to resolve our woes is signing our way out of trouble and all we're doing is stockpiling shite.

Just watching the video there. Is that airdrie fans outside the west end? Or st Johnstone fans? The guy throwing glass bottles into the pub is an idiot

Airdrie fans throwing bottles at Saints fans.

Some had to get stitches, and believe there were children in the pub too at the time.

@RandomGuy. head knock for Franczak, apparently.

Least there was a reason for him coming off.

Still no idea why he thought Sprangler on for him was the sub though.
