Popular Post PauloPerth
Superb Morton, well played. A proper exciting cup tie. Be good if the tv companies took note that this is what happens when you don’t just show the Old Firm games every single cup match.

There's nothing shiter in football than playing a fairly evenly matched side and you can't string two passes together and they're outfighting, outthinking and bodying you all over the pitch whilst you can't even get within 40 yards of having a shot on target. Been there many times and that Mugabi shot sums up Motherwell's entire night. The difference between the game against us and St Mirren is that we were just having an off night (hopefully) whereas Motherwell look a bit gutless here. Morten didn't really have to play particularly well. I reckon if either yourselves or us had played Morten we'd have won fairly comfortably.

Handsome_Devil
Well played Morton, thoroughly deserved. We were pathetic and 2-1 flattered us.

Fits was thrown into our own net and the second was uncontested. But that is basically EVERY GAME for the past 20 games.

jamamafegan
Loving Imries gestures towards the away fans at FT. Pretty sure I saw some well bois scrambling over their benches to scream at him. Lovely stuff.

mozam76
Fantastic performance from Morton. Thrilled for Imrie. This result only adds to my morbid fear for our game tomorrow.
GiGi
We didn't even have to play that well to win. Good performance but we've actually played better. Fucking buzzing.

I appreciate it’s going to be difficult for us to beat Celtic on Sunday but I’d love to see a repeat of the 1987 cup tie at Cappielow between our sides. Obviously with the same result! Well (sic) done tonight. Enjoy your night m8.

C4mmy31
As neutral it was a crackin cup tie. Morton just wanted it more. Well done (no pun intended) lads
Jives Miguel
Motherwell were very poor tbh. Improved a little after Halliday came on, but christ I never for a second doubted we were seeing that game out. Just a solid, professional job from Morton tonight. All that was required for a straightforward win. The Well Bois doing the full hawd me back patter at Imrie at the end was the cherry on top.
