The only problem with Adams is that he isn’t a goal scorer and he has missed some proper sitters for us. He will chase after every ball, run the channels all day long and is pretty good at holding the ball up. The strength in depth of both squads and the taking of chances is what separates teams at all levels of the game. How many times would we beat a Dutch, French or English team? Paterson was having a nightmare but it wasn’t catastrophic. Gilmour was dictating the game and it was a surprise he went off. Shankland did okay, its not as if Dykes and Adams are prolific against the too sides. We aren't going to unearth a top level striking talent but we need to be more critical.
