CALDERON
Will take that all day long. Would have been nice to see the 2 goal lead out, but we did really well to hold onto it. Far from over, we saw how quickly things turned tonight - but to win the first leg is about as much as we could reasonably ask for.

Red Kite
Will take that. Get some rest and hope there will be some doubt in Raith minds, now.
mrcat1990
Sloppy and pretty fucking shagged looking. Rovers just much much sharper.
P.C
Game was crying out for Hamilton when Thistle made their subs. Too long for Murray to react. Can only assume Easton and Hamilton being saved for Friday

Fuctifano
Think both sets of fans are probably OK at the moment, Raith because they're in a very good position and Thistle because for about 60 minutes it looked like we'd be about 5-0 down by now. For all I was moaning about our subs, Alston played well, and Ngwenya and Bannigan were better than McInroy and Neilson whereas the Raith subs did very little. Thought we got slightly the rough end of it off the ref but nothing that majorly affected the game, in fact I was glad he added on 6 minutes rather than yellow card the Raith keeper for time wasting as that achieves nothing, no ref will ever send a keeper off for it.
renton
Feel weirdly deflated after that. The initial game actually worked well and we got on top after Thistle's energetic start. Scored two really well worked goals and dominant at half time. Obviously expected a bit of a Thistle resurgence after half time but actually thought we were dealing with it until the double sub/change of shape gave Thistle more width. Having said that, we defended our box well until losing a goal you honestly can't mitigate against. Yet, we probably were slow to react to the shape change and I don't really understand why, when we are lumping the ball, we don't bring on the striker you can lump the ball to.

RR #1
Great result but feel we let them off the hook. Hope we can replicate the 1st half performance for the 90 on Friday .k
pub car king
I thought Connolly was poor amd agree with the swap for Smith at the time but he didn't make a great impact. Rudden was his usual dug chasing a bus self. Other than that good team performance in a game of very much 2 half's
Diamond1924
Raith winning this at Starks all day long and rightly so.

Thought your subs seemed to change the game. Even before Alston came on, you seemed to be getting at as a bit more. Watson is a huge loss for Friday. We really need to start on the front foot, it’s going to be a very nervy 90 minutes and i think whoever scores first will go through to the next round.

AMMjag
I thought it was mental from kick-off for Neilson to remain in midfield after his performances against Airdrie - the difference when we had actual midfielders in there was night and day. Bannigan and Alston have their flaws but both have to be starting on Friday.
