I'd imagine he'll be a stick on to go full-time this summer and (with absolutely no disrespect intended) I reckon he'll be looking a bit further up the divisions. He's improved a lot over the last season.

He was fine nearer the end of the season but for the most part he's been pretty shite. Too powderpuff to be a good CB IMO and bullied a lot. Ok defensively with his headers but his marking usually poor. He should be fine at L2 though and he might look less stupid with his rolled down socks if he looks like he's decent. Docherty signing means one less diving wee p***k at Annan next season. Cheers lads I think we owe you that much for you taking Doherty off our hands last Summer. Mental that Bartley paid a fee for him. Edited May 16 by Replays
The Moonster
Given what I've heard the offers actually were for Gray last summer, and considering Clydes apparent budget last year, I doubt the fee was anything worth shouting about.

We must have signed him about a stone overweight as well, he’s slimmed down a lot since the start of last season. mo83
Any word where Cammy Ballantyne is off to next season? How did he do for you lads?
BB_Bino
12 hours ago, SLClyde said: Dominic Docherty from Annan, that seems a decent signing. Have read the comments above about Docherty being a tremendous signing...I think that's a bit much, however you do have an effective player on your hands and certainly someone who has grown and matured over the seasons. When he originally join ourselves, you could see the lad had the ability to cut it at this level, but he never seemed to impose himself on many games, that's something that has definitely improved during his time at Annan, but so has his antics to fall to the ground. Had Docherty been coming back to Forthbank, I would have been relatively happy with that as he is a player that I would say should be playing at the top end of League 2, so he'll be another positive addition toy your squad.
Brian Carrigan
Currently Signed for 24/25 Goalkeepers - Brian Kinnear, Jay Kennedy Defenders - Lee Hamilton, Jordan Houston, Craig Howie, Ross Lyon, Logan Dunachie, Paul McKay, Peter Grant (free to leave), Josh McCulloch (free to leave) Midfielders - Liam Scullion, Robbie Leitch, Barry Cuddihy, Ray Grant, Darren Hynes, Dominic Docherty Forwards - Martin Rennie -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking at the above, we're a specialist left back and a couple of effective forwards away but you have to think they're coming. The early business has been very promising and it's great to get the basis of the squad tied up this early. I can't remember ever really being in a position at the end of May where I'm so happy with the current make up of the squad. I wonder if McCall sees Ross Lyon as the starting left back however? Hopefully not. Edited May 17 by Brian Carrigan

No word on a destination. He was disappointing imho. I expected a player of his pedigree to come in, start bossing games and find the level a skoosh but he regularly went missing. Feisty wee guy and spoke a fair bit on the park which seems good, but had little effect. Edited May 17 by Brian Carrigan
SouthLanarkshireWhite
The club need to get their act together. Signing people this early takes away the opportunity for idle speculation, ridiculous rumour-mongering and wild attempts at dreaming of what might be. Poor stuff.

We’ve still got Dylan Easton and Lewis Stevenson to come tho, so still early days
Clyde_MM
1 hour ago, mo83 said: Any word where Cammy Ballantyne is off to next season? How did he do for you lads? Cammy's effectiveness was up and down depending on what approach the team was taking. McCall seemed to prefer to play direct. Understandable, a lot was on the line and it was probably best to keep things simple with what was effectively a new squad competing against settled ones. These games passed Ballantyne by though. When we got the ball down and played a bit though, I liked him a lot. Thinking of games like 6-1 vs Stenny, second half of 1-0 vs Stranraer and 3-0 vs Elgin. A tidy and very hard-working player.
