The whole of the entire U.K. is deteriorating. Just look at the state of the roads. How is it possible that 3rd world countries such as Peru, Colombia, Mexico, India even Pakistan improving their infrastructure while the U.K. gets worse.

The SNP, Tories solo and also in coalition with Lib Dems & Labour have all been in power throughout this time. Someone has to be blamed. Too easy to say it's not 1 parties fault. Ridiculous really. Take 1 look at the youtube videos of the roads in Kashmir then compare that to Scotland.

SNP had tax raising powers as well. Every party is to blame tbh.

The closest you’ve come to Kashmir is ordering an Indian takeaway.

Also the far left independents winning a few seats. Corbyn not so worrying because he’s been the MP there for a really long time, but the ones who took places like Leicester South seem like a strange choice. Especially sad to see Jo Cox’s old constituency over taken by the far left.

I’ve obviously missed this one!

Who is this ‘far left’ MP of whom you speak?

Corbyn is a moderate social democrat. It only looks like the far left from the right.

Iqbal Mohammed was elected for Dewsbury and Batley. Independents also took Leicester South, Blackburn and Birmingham Perry Barr

I’m not talking about Corbyn here. It’s the Galloway aligned independents in the other seats who have been elected on a single issue which our government has no control over.

Right.  So what’s your definition of ‘far left’.

You seem inclined to talk in obscure terms, I’m not sure why.  What single issue?

The centrist position on the Middle East is an immediate ceasefire leading to a sustainable two state solution. “

”Let Israel finish the job” is a right wing talking point being peddled by Trump in the US and some Tories here much like “from the river to the sea” is a left wing dog whistle.

The SNP have an easy attack line pre-Holyrood which has already started..'Labour threaten free prescriptions, dental care, tuition fees' etc, which is why Labour should close that down quickly.

No question that the Constitutional Paper was very vague and not radical but that was before a large WM majority which offers the chance to be bolder..again  would be madness to miss the chance.

The SNP are also asking for what would be 24 years in power at Holyrood..that is an astonishing length of time for any party to be in govt, anywhere.

Agree with @DeeTillEhDeh that they need to break away from the Sturgeon cabal control of the leadership before then.. at the moment the offer on the table is Swinney as FM for (from now) 7 years. That might not be the most appealing choice for voters.

Think Labour should run on the exact same policies as the SNP apart from independence. They can also play up the benefits of having the same party in government in Edinburgh as in London by selling the benefits of collaboration.

I'd say a large WM majority actually means they can afford to park it and not do a damn thing about any of it.

OK, so when you made the following post…

… you meant the single issue as being the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.

However you went on to say “which our government has no control over”.  Well yes, they have no ‘control’ per se but as a leading European nation, and a country that is more to blame than most for the treatment of the Palestinian people, we should expect the representatives of our government in waiting to condemn outright the actions of the Israeli government.  Instead they adopted a position virtually indistinguishable from that of the then Tory government.

The Labour and Tory position is nothing short of disgusting and Flynn and the SNP deserve kudos for trying to force meaningful debate on the issue even when thwarted by the incredibly biased actions of Hoyle who will no doubt be taking the ermine.

Apologies if this has been mentioned earlier or elsewhere, but an interesting stat.

QoS, Annan, Stranraer and Bromley are the only senior teams in the UK that are located in a Tory seat.
