Phillip Schofield to return to TV 16 months after quitting This Morning over affair | Phillip Schofield | The Guardian

Any other candidates to join the "foolish but not criminal" Phil on Nonce Island?

BBC will be kicking themselves they've failed to land the ideal replacement for Huw Edwards here.

He's 62 and will be a multimillionaire.

Surely you'd retire to a tropical resort to escape the heat, like @Granny Danger.

Maybe he could retire to the same one and they could team up to fight crime as Danger & Danger. You might get a TV show out of that.

ETA - 'One likes the terrors in Tangerine, the other is a terror if you're sixteen' - there's a strapline for it too.

Forget wage theft - What happens when a building firm owner gets shown a new way to stiff the apprentices?

Alone, marooned, and no-one to groom.

Surely this is how he should have been banished as a public safety measure, and not the premise of a show for him to weasel his way back onto the box?

Channel 5 really are barrel scraping cvnts.

Similar thing has happened in the USA the dame who pretended to be an heiress and fiddled people out of a lot of money has just come out of jail and been given a role in a ‘reality TV’ show.

Will use this opportunity once again to say that naming the most useless and unreal shit on the box ‘reality TV’ both puzzles and infuriates me.

Just seen the trailer for this on the news, predictable "woe is me, I'm a good guy really" pish and Schofield pushing his own narrative.

Expect (if you're daft enough to watch it) lots of reflection and self-loathing, with a healthy dose of crocodile tears, building towards the "I'm a good guy who just made a mistake" ending and plea for a second chance. Predictable pish and most probably his own, egotistical idea.

Fvck off Phil, you're a groomer and manipulator and it's to all of TV's shame that you're back in the public eye, not only channel 5 for airing the show but the rest of them too for tacitly advertising it by even making mention of it in the news. He'll have a new BBC series before the years our, stick on.
