19QOS19
Apparently not! Even when the road is completely deserted. Lesson learned I reckon you got off lucky with a fine. I've heard foreign police take Brits up a hill, beat you up then bum you.

Dickheads. Next to the Waverly Bar in Dumbarton there are a set of lights that would immediately change every time you pressed the button such was the lack of use they had, I would take great joy in pressing the button as a youngster but then just continue walking along the same pavement. The rage from drivers was truly hilarious. Now, as a driver, I understand the rage.
19QOS19
Folk who don't see a problem with it are either folk who don't drive or outright c***s. There's nothing more infuriating than sitting at a red light at a crossing with no pedestrian in sight.

At worst it is mildly irritating.

Driving in Dumfries in general is always seethe inducing. I will come across as a roadrager but I'm really not. The number of stupid incidents you see on the road daily down here is incredible. It has to be one of the worst places to drive in the country.

Waiting out of politeness would be truly weird. Well if you drive and you don't see an issue with it you fall into the second category [emoji14] If it's a busy road and a break happens to appear I find that annoying but can be a bit calmer. What really infuriates me is the fuds who push the button THEN look to see the traffic. Folk should be able to use their judgement on whether the button needs pushed or not.

It doesn't make any difference to the car driver, they still have to wait whether the pedestrian waited or not.
