Big Bang Theory thread for this pish.

They're the ones that constantly go to the fridge to get a bottle of water, open it then fake drink it.

Being asked my name when I order a cup of coffee. Americanised nonsense and feels a bit creepy.

Aye. Tiny Starbucks stall at Central and was asked my name the other day. There was one other person waiting. The irony being that they still got my order wrong.

Serves me right for going to a Starbucks.

I ordered a cheese and ham toastie and a frappe at the blackburn branch months ago. In that order. "Anything else?" .. aye, chuck some cinnamon on top of that for me please.

*Confused look*

Guess where they put the cinnamon? It was actually quite delicious, but still.

I dare say a lot of people alongside wanting to attach themselves to rich historical European ancestry are also trying to distance themselves from those 250 years or so of history that includes attempting to wipe out the natives and the whole slave ownership aspect.

Online order things that call me "foodie".

I'm petty enough that I've gone elsewhere for food because of this.

Just reminded me of one:-

The layout of the "Drive Thru" in this country. Having the food/beverages right next to the window. So unless they say "I'll be with you soon" you feel rushed into ordering. Don't know why they don't have the menu further back and you pull up to order once you've looked.

I tell them to wait while I decide.

Also the "order in advance" McDonald's app seeing as it doesn't work unless you're within ~100m of one of their 'restaurants'.  Complete waste of time unless you really value the 30 secs it saves you.

Also on McDonalds, I can't believe people actually get their McD's delivered now. The food is barely hot by the time you've parked up at the drive-thru. I can't imagine what it'd be like after 25 minutes in a sweaty box.

It's also infuriating when you're there in person and end up having to wait 15 mins for a McFlurry (probably takes 30 secs to make), all because of a line of complex Deliveroo / Just Eat orders ahead of you.

If it's anything like me it will be panting, disheveled and heavily shrivelled.

Congrats on somehow making it sound even less appealing.

I reckon you're correct on the heavily shrivelled call.
