No. No. No.

Sometimes when scrolling TikTok men getting their back waxed comes up on my for you page and I wonder why they put themselves through the pain.

Waxing is an enjoyable pain, sort of like getting tattooed.

It's not actually that painful.

It fucking is. I've had back and front done a few times. I was due again before my holiday a few weeks ago, but bottled it because the usual woman wasn't available.

Went down the Veet route, worked not bad, but messy and not very comfortable.

I saw Veet and thought of this classic Amazon review

Clippers below the belt. Veet isn't sore on "normal" skin, but the burning smell is a clue where not to use it.

I've started getting my back waxed, as the older I'm getting, the hairier it's getting.

Today was the second time I've had it done and the folk that told me the itching decreases each time are big fucking liars.

Yeah, old man bodies are weird. Thankfully I haven't developed the tufty ears yet, but the nose and back have been gradually stepping up the hair production in recent years. Hard to believe I had a completely smooth back until my thirties.

I can recommend those big back razors - work surprisingly well, and the stubble is a lot less itchy than just being hairy.

Very jealous of your back hair not growing until your 30s, I’m only 27 and I’ve had back hair since my last year at high school  Used to use the Veet cream to get rid of it but not bothered for a while.

I started going to a new barbers after Covid and the boy asked if I’d like a nose wax said aye. Fired the cotton buds in with the wax and he ripped them out and then announced to the full shop

“my friend your nose…very hairy”

Turkish barbers seem to take excess hair very personally. I had one guy glower at me throughout my cut because I kept turning down his repeated offers to trim my eyebrows

I too had the same experience recently.

Turkish Barber looking at me with a "you serious bro?!" look as if I'd just asked if he offered a scrotal shaving service.

Yep, my barber now attends to my eyebrows, ears and nostrils as well as my head. Luckily, I still have a good head of hair so I get my money's worth which is important given it costs me all of £1.50 nowadays. He also does a quick neck and shoulders massage in with the price.

Was the same when I lived in Qatar. The barber's were Nepalese and they loved giving a head neck, arm and hand massage. They even offered to crack your neck but stuff that. I was about 45 mins in the chair though. My wife was getting suspicious!
