Incredible. Probably thinks he's still asleep and having the best dream of his life!
peasy23
Given plenty of stick to England's fielding over the last few years, but they've been excellent today. Bairstow has had 3 very good catches, and Foakes also had a terrific diving catch earlier.
PB1994
England need to get this last wicket very soon if they want to take a lead into the second innings. oh and there it is. Edited June 2, 2022 by PB1994
die hard doonhamer
Losing the toss and being asked to field, that couldn’t really have gone much better.
HTG
New Zealand have been largely woeful, England quite the opposite. Can't help but feel that we're setting the impacts of the IPL on test cricket to an extent.
jaggyness
New Zealand still well in this with the fall of Root. As I said previously the England tail is long. Then there is England's seeming inability to get much past 300. England would have been hoping for a lead of 150+ which right now looks a massive ask.

PB1994
The worst thing about this for England is that nobody is surprised by what’s happening.
PB1994
Is Parkinson even at the ground in case they lose a few more in the last 10 mins?

Impact of IPL remains - particularly on shot selection.
Boo Khaki
When NZ were 36-6 I almost tongue-in-cheek posted "how do England lose this from here?". Well now we know the answer to that.
Ro Sham Bo
Being an England bowler must be the most frustrating job in sport. No matter how little they bowl the opposition out for, their batsmen are totally incapable of capitalising.
Jupiter Jazz
England never learn. They've left out the form batsman in the country in Brook and then moved Pope to three where he's never batted before in his life!? Basic stuff they just can't get right.
Moomintroll
One Innings each game it is then, as a LCCC member I already know the answer but how bad is Matt Parkinson that Jimmy gets moved up to Ten? Should have sneaked Liam Livingstone in as the replacement spinner, God knows he and Joe Root aren't that much worse than Leach.
