Savage Henry
Big crowd in Wellington. Some game they saw, or didn’t see as the case may be.
Lichtie78
Cricket Scotland is cliquey as f**k. Face doesn’t fit you won’t get picked no matter how well you do at club level.

Fuctifano
Ideally they'd play ODIs in Wellington at the Basin like they do the tests but I guess the theory is it's better to have 12,000 rattling about a 38,000 stadium than have folk locked out of a 10,000 stadium. I doubt there was anything near 10,000 in the cake tin this morning though.
Frankie S
Scotland cruising to victory against (hitherto bogey side) Afghanistan in ICC World Cup qualifiers after record-breaking 208 run partnership between Calum MacLeod and Richie Berrington. Edit: MacLeod gets his 150. Edited March 4, 2018 by Frankie S
die hard doonhamer
Scotland win by 7 wickets, MacLeod finished on 157 not out.
Bully Wee Villa
Excellent result for Scotland. Good chance of making the Super Sixes now, with Zimbabwe, Hong Kong and Nepal the other teams in the Group. Top three go through, then top two in the Super Sixes make the Final, and qualify for the World Cup.The other Group looks much tougher, with West Indies, Netherlands, Ireland, Papua New Guinea and UAE in it.
Fuctifano
Cracking result, we never beat them. Wins against HK and Nepal a must to have any chance.

SimonLichtie
Beating Afghanistan is superb for many reasons. After the groups, in the Super Six (disgustingly cringy term for it) stages points are carried forward for games against the other 2 teams to go through also. You'd still expect Afghanistan to go through so if we do go through we will potentially start on 2 points and have a chance rather than be on 0 and just there to make up the numbers.
Guest Moomintroll
Can see where this is going already, we lose to Zimbabwe, afghanistan beat them and out we go on net run rate. No matter what the sport is, its the Scottish way.
Bully Wee Villa
Top three go through, so if we can see off the two weakest teams we will be fine, even if getting battered by Zimbabwe.

Duh so they do, hence why its called the super 6.

I doubt there was anything near 10,000 in the cake tin this morning though. The ODI v Pakistan in January was at the Basin Reserve. It doesn’t have floodlights so probably why the England game wasn’t played there. ETA: Plus TV probably demanded a D/N game.
mjw
CCTV released of Warner and De Kock being held apart on the way to the dressing rooms during their test match.A 'sledge' about Warners wife being blamed. Family should be off limits but you can bet Warner has said worse.

Frankie S
Scotland six down and making a bit of a meal of chasing 91 after a superb effort in the field, and a four wicket haul for Tom Sole. Promising start to the tournament overall though.

The second wicket partnership hit 22 off 15 balls which suggests that they were attacking that target in more of a hurry than was strictly appropriate
