Drooper
Bloody hands like blocks of ice when I arrived at work this morning and it is only mid-October This is very much the issue I had last Autumn/Winter, and it really put me off getting out. My missus reckons I'm low on iron (not sure if she is referring to essential vitmains and minerals, or is suggesting I man the f'ck up!). It's not nice, though, and can take the enoyment away from even a short ride such as my (occasional) commute. Even with double gloves, it is hellish. Boo!

Dindeleux
For anyone who uses Strava.................... Don't know if you've saw this before but go to: http://www.jonathanokeeffe.com/strava/map.php Put your strava details in to connect it, then put in a date range from before the time you started Strava to todays date - put your activity as running or cycling and then press load. Creates a heat map based on where you've cycled - better than paying for the strava version.

Grim O'Grady
Anybody cycled the Hadrian's Wall route? Me & a couple of pals are thinking of doing it next year when it warms up a bit? Well we thought we'd just meet up in Carlise & then cycle over to Newcastle. They are coming from the south so we thought meeting in Carlisle would be ok, just get the bike on the train, spend a few days cycling & drinking & get a return train back from Newcastle. Obviously the Wall doesn't start nor end in either of the points A to B but we thought that would be a nice we trip to begin with & then we could always do Carlisle to the Ravenglass later in the year & even the wee bit from Newcastle to Whitley Bay some other time. So if you've done it what was it like? Grimbo

Swarley
Hey P&B cyclists, just be safe out there. We heard news today of a colleague (didn't know him directly) who was killed this morning in an accident whilst out cycling. 45 years old, married, young family, tragic. Cyclist dies in collision with car

Cyclist dies in collision with car Christ I hate hearing this. Its a dangerous enough sport/ pastime as it is but particularly so at this time of the year, especially just after the clocks go back. Tragic news indeed

Why do cyclists think it's cool to ride 30 cm from your bumper at 30-40 mph? -

Don't take the high horse with me, it cost me £218 when a cyclist crashing into by bumper 5 months back. PLEASE RESPECT CARS AND DROP AT LEAST 3 seconds back and save lives. -

Dindeleux
Anyway........ I've been out on the bike a lot this month, racked up 115 miles since the start of October. Cycled Kilmarnock - Troon - Irvine - Kilmarnock yesterday in the wettest weather I can remember all year.
