If his ball is in the middle of the fairway nobody says it's bullshit, the rules don't change if he's in the rough. All levity and Bob's "We'll get to Troon when we arrive at Troon" comment aside, I really hope that he puts up a good show at The Open, ideally in contention on Sunday. He's obviously in a rich vein of form atm and it would be madness to jeopardise this by 'partying hard'. Hopefully Dougie will keep him on the path of righteousness. My general plan I think (never been to any pro event before) is to find a decent vantage point on a tee to watch them absolutely thundercunting drives for a bit, then maybe a greenside at a par 3 for a while, then maybe just wander round.
