He did admit he's never hit out of a gorse bush before, and he seems to have accepted the referees saying "You're a fucking brilliant golfer, but no chance you're moving that with a full swing", so it's all fair enough, I reckonAye, good to hear the officials stand their ground. Would be entitled to free drop IF the stand is in the way of a reasonable shot (it's buried in gorse). Tries to claim he'd take a full swing at it. Officials politely say "nah mate". Instead he took a penalty drop, and went back on a line from his ball to the hole.
