peasy23
The Welsh players can cry and threaten to strike all they want, sinple fact is the Welsh RFU are skint. Their 60 cap rule will be disappearing asap. Edited February 15, 2023 by peasy23
GAD
Have the WRU not tried to shut down one of the regions before to save money? With English rugby also going bust I wonder if the Welsh teams will finally carry out their "threat" to leave the URC and join some Anglo tournament, with less teams? 3 of them in the Prem is 14. Could chuck the Dragons in the championship.

Also don't think the Prem will touch them now

I'm sure they had some Welsh Tom Farmer type bankrolling them, which is how they ended up with guys like Moriarty and Hibbard? Though that seems to have dried up recently.

come on shire
Strong team considering the 6 Nations is on. However a bit light up front maybe but a quality back line and great to see Cummings back.
come on shire
Very strong Ulster team. The 6 Nations is on but Ireland is approx 80% Leinster players I'd reckon so Ulster have the big guns.

GAD
Glasgow started reasonably well, but the amount and the softness of the penalties they are giving away will kill them. Everytime they get the ball they immediately turn it over.
GAD
Also, we can't kick for shit.
Mark Connolly
Unusual to see a team worse at restarts than Scotland, but it's a tremendous effort from Ulster tonight. 1 minute ago, GAD said: Also, we can't kick for shit. TBF, it looks like the wind is absolutely horrendous, it's pretty wild where I am a couple of miles away, and I certainly won't be going outside, never mind trying to play rugby. Get to HT a score down at worst, and Glasgow should have plenty with the wind behind to see them off in the second half
Snobot
What a dismal team they are
GAD
That was hilarious from the ref, absolutely desperate to give Ulster something, he calls a maul that clearly wasn't, then realises as it was straight from a kick he had to give Glasgow the put in. Fanny.

I was just playing fives earlier in the southside and there was no wind, that was a couple of hours ago mind you.

GAD
Glasgow never look like scoring from 5m.
Mark Connolly
FWIW I wouldn't pick Cooney ahead of White, Horne, Price or Dobie, no matter how good his goal kicking is
GAD
Some of these penalties.... How can Gordon possibly think he's not going to get penalised there? Had them under pressure as well, defending fine, and now camped on our line.
Mark Connolly
Why are we kicking the ball away there? First time in ages we've actually had go forward ball
GAD
If I'd been one of those forwards pushing that maul up the pitch then smashing it up the middle and my fly half had just done what Jordan did I would have found it very difficult to keep my feelings to myself.
