Jmothecat2
Just as I thought we were getting near the end of the Christmas booze my sister dropped off her leftovers that she can't take on her flight home. Two bottles of Prosecco and a half bottle of Sailor Jerry's. Not really keen on prosecco but free booze is free booze, and I've spent the past two weeks drinking it so starting to get used to it.

Eednud
Hawke's Lager named after ex Aussie Labor PM Bob Hawke. He once held the record for drinking a yard of ale when he was at Oxford Uni in 11 seconds. Like a politician the beer promises more than it delivers.

Isn't Hawke also remembered for an episode of bubbling and greeting about something, in an unstatesman-like fashion?

Remember him greeting about one of his daughters drug issues and when he split from his wife. There were a few other times but can’t remember.

Jmothecat2
It’s better than the more expensive stuff tbh. I'm a bit jealous. Opening up another bottle of prosecco tonight as we've just got so much to get through. Trying to convince myself I like it but it's just not as good as cava, no matter how often wine hipsters try to pretend it is.

Never been a big prosecco lover; far prefer dry white wine to sweet; but when it comes to Cava I’ll take a semi-sec over a brut anytime. It’s like alcoholic lemonade.

senorsoupe
Rang 10 Imperial stout from the Microbrasserie Lac St. Jean. Not normally a strong beer guy (this one is 10%) but a) it was a gift from my brother in law and b) it's cold and the week has been shit
