Israel And The Palestinians (now with added Iran)

We already knew from the WCK statement that three separate cars were hit. What's now become clear is that survivors of the hit on the first vehicle were able to leave and entered the second vehicle. Survivors of the hit on the second were able to leave and enter the third, until there were no survivors. It was obviously deliberate anyway, but it's not like they can even argue it was one mistaken strike on one location - the third vehicle was hit over 2km away from the first. They purposefully tracked them until they were all dead, it was targeted assassination of aid workers.

There is no international norm Israel will not break and gleefully boast about after doing so. It is a rogue state which knows it has impunity.

That's my kind of luck.

Been fairly obvious for quite some time.

The charity logo plastered all across the roofs of the vehicles.  As you say, those aid workers  were hunted down.

"Tragic mistake" does not remotely cover it.

Yes, yet the response from the U.K. government is, to say the least, muted and the response from the government-in-waiting even more so.

The SNP have asked for a recall of Parliament to discuss this; the request doesn’t seem to be getting any coverage from the MSM.

Our complicity in war crimes is shameful and inexplicable.

This is likely the continuation of a long trek by the Israeli Government unless they move to change now. Much like South Africa there will be a move toward ostracism and boycott, however it will be much slower and less impactful than what happened with South Africa. The slow separation of the Jewish support around the world will be almost unnoticeable to outsiders. The terrible side to this is we’re talking easily 40-60 years to see any impacts, let alone a solution, unless Western leaders are willing to stand up sooner.

The holocaust is wielded like a shield by far too many on the hawkish spectrum in Israel. They have created a mythological backstory to the creation of Israel that is at odds with reality, the reality that both sides had “issues” with behaviors and that the West simply displaced people to create Jewish enclaves in Palestine. The West, as a whole, is hesitant to act due to their complicity in the horrific events leading up to, and during WW2, with the MS St. Louis simply being a symptom of the disease. The strength of the approbation from complicity has informed U.S. policy since, and we see its continuing echos in the responses here by the U.S. Government and influencers.

Seems some Israelis have taken against TVP, a Polish English language TV channel that interviewed their Ambassador.

Apart from accusing Poles who protested Israel's behaviour in Gaza of being anti-semites, he three times refused to answer whether the IDF would have bombed the convoy if they thought there might have been someone they suspected of being linked to Hamas onboard. That's what I think probably happened, collateral damage is no longer part of their calculations.

The terrorist state of Israel’s decision to bomb the Iranian consulate was always going to get a response. I sincerely hope the UK don’t get involved.

We've got tankers in the air from Cyprus - they'll be refuelling something.
