See we've reached another stage.

I have just seen proof that there are people in America searching out enriched Uranium, which we can only guess will be used for nefarious purposes, given the obvious, haphazard approach to handling it:

The disconnect between "public opinion" and the stance of politicians has rarely been so stark.

Starmer is obviously shit scared of being badged "Corbyn MKII" - which is hilarious on several levels - that he is merely parroting the lines of Sunak.

Even his Scottish pet Sarwar has stated his stance does not tie with Starmers now...................

I’m not a conspiracy theorist but who planted Starmer in the Labour Party?

Starmer is as much a socialist as Tony Blair was and is closer to having tory "values" than he is to core Labour/Socialist principles.

Sir Keir Starmer, former director of public prosecutions? He is as establishment as they come and is clearly sponsored by the security services on some level. That much has been obvious for a very long time.

I don't know who any of these people are, but it appeared on my feed and I thought it was a pretty good example of the two sides of the debate.

One contributor calmly stating facts and advocating the common sense approach, with the other ranting insanely, losing control of his emotions and hurling personal abuse.

Amazing that the shouty guy is ever invited on to anything.

"Starmer's positions have nothing to do with voters. This is all about signalling that he will be entirely loyal to the long-standing elite consensus of British foreign policy which has always been to support whatever the US does. When Biden changes position, Sunak will change position, Starmer will change position; it's got nothing to do with votes".

Most pertinent thing Schneider said there, for me. It's a shite system. American workers get their tax contributions spent on jets and missiles for Israel instead of on healthcare, which their state fails to provide for them. Israelis get military conscription, authoritarian governance, a sectarian society and massacres. Palestinians get immiserated, brutalised and erased.

Questions that you would expect to be asked of Israeli spokespersons.

"Out of the over 5,000 individuals killed in Gaza in the past 12 days, how many do you estimate were terrorists?"

That's what I would be asking, but hey, I'm no journalist.

They've been asked but just say they don't believe the numbers supplied by Hamas appointees.

Mind they did the big underground evil villain lair graphics in Afghanistan for Bin Laden and it turned out he was just chilling in a big house in Pakistan watching Spongebob and eating pot noodles.

And yet he’s going to be the next PM and many people in Scotland believe he’s a better alternative to the SNP.

People are stupid. I try not to pay attention to them.

Absolutely everyone I’ve seen on the Israeli side of this conflict - including lots of people with real power and influence - seem to be complete fucking lunatics.

St Pauli had to be shamed into saying something semi nice by the international fans and it took a lot of back and forth including a club employee calling people antisemites for simply asking that they acknowledge the plight of all the civilians involved.  antiD tubes.

Babelsberg the only good c***s I've noticed.

I think the German thing may be as a result of being keen to not be accused of anti-semitism.

Bin Laden, Tora Bora

What a level this would have been in Goldeneye.

Was that to not to try and portray him as some evil mastermind though?

The blow to the American ego that 9/11 was still resonates today IMO.

The most highly funded, sophisticated military and intelligence service in the world, spent a decade looking for him and they eventually found him in his house.  I'd imagine it was known where he was all along.
