Part of the reason for that though is there’s often no forward pass on due to lack of bodies/movement ahead of him.

Dykes is getting a lot of grief but Adams has been pretty poor too. His movement’s been ok but his touch and decision making has been off. How he never got a shot away when clean through is criminal.

Having seen all our games against you guys this season it’s maybe more like our ability to drag you down to our level of hoofball!

This was the best chance we’ve had of winning a group for years. Denmark & Austria are decent sides but they’re probably two of the teams you’d choose from pots 1 & 2. Instead our chances of winning the group are already dead and our chance of even getting second is already on life support. To me it all comes down to mentality. We simply don’t set out to win games, we look to be “solid” and try and sneak an occasional goal. As a result we make every team we play against look far better than they are.

Inevitable. We must be one of the easiest teams to play against in World football. So passive, no threat, and never actually closing anyone down.

But surely, given he can’t change the squad just now, it’s incumbent on the manager to look at what he’s got and play a style that suits the players at his disposal? Not try to shoehorn players into “his” system regardless? Surely anyone can see there’s literally no point punting balls head height and above at Moffat? The only times we look remotely dangerous is when McCowan, Smith etc get the ball down and pass it with purpose.

We’ve been largely dreadful. Punting balls in Moffat’s vague direction just doesn’t work. Having said that both Miller & Walsh should have scored before they equalised.
