Pish. I get the aim of being solid first but we’ve shown no attacking ambition at all today.

Probably not but we lost to them a few games earlier!

Thought that was reasonable for a 0-0, both teams played some decent stuff in patches without ever really looking like scoring. Thought Reading was decent again, think Walsh needs to contribute more. There’s no point in him flinging crosses in when we’ve only got Smith, Moffat & McCowan to aim for!

Again when we actually pass the ball we look reasonably decent but spend 90% of the time hoofing the ball.

I thought both Houston & Reading were decent yesterday, a minor positive in the wider shitshow.

The most worrying aspect for me is that Arbroath were poor today and ICT no great shakes the week before and they’ve both gone away with 3 points. In a tight league you can’t afford to throw away points like that. We also need to play the ball to feet. When we do it in flashes during a game we look reasonably decent but that tends to be few and far between with the vast majority being hoofball.

Fucking ridiculous. A game in which we should be a good couple of goals up.

And has missed them all. I have to say I’ve not been impressed with him either. Just goes to show we all see the game differently!

Yeah, that’s what it’s doing for me too.

The problem for me is we’ve not really controlled a game all season, apart from maybe the Morton game and we still managed to lose it! On individual players no-one’s really been consistently reliable. There have been flashes where Moff, McCowan & Smith have linked up well but they’ve been few and far between. Other than maybe his cameo in the Raith game Zanatta’s not impressed me, Chalmers is composed but really slow in everything he does, Smith’s undoubtedly been the best of the new faces but even he’s somewhat inconsistent. I hope it was just rustiness today but I thought Walsh was awful. In summary we’re defensively shaky and often toothless going forward. Sigh.
