  1. Only 3 wins will give us a sniff of the play-offs and that depends on Spartans slipping up. That looks unlikely. A few changes today maybe enforced by injuries.
  2. 3 games in week (Buckie) would take its toll on any team, could be Brechins' best hope. Fingers crossed you can make it over the line.
  3. I wouldn't over-react due to 1 poor performance in 10. I'm sure the management know who they want to keep and today maybe helped in that choice.
  4. Fair play to Bonnyrigg, they mastered the conditions kept it simple and deserved the victory. Certainly our worst home performance of the season, can't really think of one player who gets credit. Defence was all over the shop, midfield second to everything, an afternoon to forget !
  5. Will we beat Bonnyrigg for The first time at home ? will Bonnyrigg fans greet about the admission price ? all will be revealed today at a breezy MGM Timber Bayview Stadium ! We need 3 points to keep the pressure on Spartans, anything less than that could spell the end of our play-off push. Great news that Jack has signed for next season.
  6. Congratulations Stenhousemuir, worthy Champions. Hope you enjoy your night and the summer.
  7. Can't see this going ahead, the amount of rain in SE Scotland is insane.
  8. First half Elgin were dangerous, 2 good stops by Fleming and Dangana who was impressive should have scored. We rattled the bar and Jack had the right back on toast with some great wing play, one of which Trouten expertly nodded into the net. Second half was much more comfortable for the Fife and Elgin didn't threaten atall. Some nice passing attacking play by us and we should have scored more but overall another good performance. Best Fifers' for me were Healy, Millar and Easton.
  9. Elgin City make their final visit of the season to Bayview and they should prove a tougher test than Dec' 9th in what was Allan Hale's first game in charge. East Fife are on an unbeaten run of 7, 4 wins and 3 draws and should be confident of keeping that run going. With Nathan Austin presumably still out, we should line up as the same 11 that defeated Stranraer. -Felming- -Murdoch-Blaney-Easton-Newton -Millar-McManus- -Lyon- - Trouten- -Healy- -Shepherd-
  10. We've presumably got Nathan Austin out. He hurt his ribs v Peterhead but nothing official yet from the club.
  11. Yeah probably won't happen mere speculation.
  12. Was told by a reasonable source that McKenna and Hamilton would be joining us in the summer. No idea if this will happen.
  13. Yes, you have a point. Maybe I'm just remembering him from last season cutting in and scoring screamers. When he has got into those positions this season they aren't going in, but he has been putting in some high quality crosses lately.
  14. Peter Weatherson looked a lonely figure yesterday. Given his after match comments i wouldn't think he is the guy to take you forward.
  15. On the Stranraer highlights, how the hell does he not give a penalty at https://youtu.be/Gp1QcZvhtrk?t=402 the guys arm is on the back of Trouten's neck and he bundles him over ?!
  16. Cracking finish from Jack for the winner, that might settle him a bit as imo he's been trying too hard to make things happen.
  17. The wind ruined the match but a good 3 points for The Fifers' leaving us just 6 points behind Spartans whom we still have to play at home. 7 games unbeaten under the new management team with 4 wins and 3 draws, well done to all involved ! Stranraer won the toss and correctly played with the wind. They took the lead with a Grant free kick from wide position that crept in at the far post. Apart from that Stranraer didn't really threaten while we found it difficult to get make clear cut chances despite having the majority of the ball. Full credit to the young lads in the 2nd half, James Lyon took his goal well and was great to see Jack score his first of the season. Falling behind seemed to alert Stranraer to the danger they are in and they showed a bit more urgency without bothering Fleming. Top marks to Blaney, Easton and Trouten who i thought were the pick of the bunch. We missed Fash today but the players proved we aren't a 1 man team. Onto next week at home v Elgin City.
  18. Nice sunny day in the Kingdom if a little breezy. Can East Fife continue their unbeaten run under the Campbells' ? Hopeful for a home win but the blues will be fighting for everything. We have to be on our game from the start this week. East Fife will continue with 4-2-3-1. I would pick : -Fleming- -Murdoch- Blaney-Easton-Newton- -Millar- -McManus- -Shepherd- -Trouten- -Healy- -Austin-
  19. Certainly not criticising, I think your media team do a great job inc commentators, they are very entertaining.
