@Shandon Par Tam keeps calling you The Shandon Par. Did you die in 2012 (no doubt in a horrific decorating accident) and then come back in the P&B Seaside League forums? -

The Queen of the South thread
tamthebam replied to qos_75's topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
That depends on who they get. Talking of which... Yogi and Queen of the South: surely a match made in heaven. (sorry guys..) -
I thought this was a sort of Tory Council thing to do but it turns out Worcester Council is controlled by Labour.

Designed for toothless baldies -
Here, I acknowledge our next door neighbours. They're called Hibs and they're not very good but I don't laugh out of politeness.

Are there 100 members on here who could nominate Yogi? Asking for a laugh..

Does that mean all those Bonnybridge UFO sightings were to deflect from the fact Falkirk were shite?

Reform UK going from strength to strength.
tamthebam replied to DrChomChom's topic in The Politics Forum
If the allocation of media coverage of Reform compared to their performance was transferred to the world of football then I look forward to Edinburgh City competing in the Champions League next season -
so Buckie Thistle were barred from standing too...

Terrible patter on the forum

I haven't come across that yet. Sounds like something a between X and V, Y and I, B and M, R and Y would type. -

careful, he might misread your name as gammonball and red dot you -
The English Premiership clubs were talking about a spending cap being equal to the spending power of the poorest team in the Premiership. Which made me wonder how the Cheeks (and others) would get on with Livingston's budget (I assume Livi have the smallest budget)

Second Chance: the EOS Second Division 2023-24
tamthebam replied to HibeeJibee's topic in East of Scotland Football League
New Murrayfield Park isn't a cage and is a tidy wee ground with facilities such as a pie stall, spectator cover and hot and cold running midges. -
Including rain infested cages in suburban Glasgow? Well, whatever floats your boat.

Aye, I wish we could go back to selling our own food (we used to sell some lovely pies at the old Meadowbank) but we're stuck with what we've got for the time being until my lottery numbers come up...

Well done chaps - I'll confess that it might have been funny to see you go down but I can't be particularly bothered with EK and I didn't really think you'd finish bottom. I have a sneaky feeling you might well be in the hunt for promotion next season having had a scare this season. Hopefully you can get a ground sorted out too in future. And you can maybe also say a small thank you to the previous Edinburgh City board being a bunch of cnuts meaning we had to free Lee Hamilton...

Thanks to a small and dedicated bunch of fans, the players stepping up from the Under 20s, a management team that never gave up and turning out each week despite defeat and the lassies selling lovely home baking (we nicked that idea from Edinburgh Uni!) we made it to the end of the season which was possibly unlikely looking at one point. Phew. I've heard folk saying we'll finish bottom of the League next season and I just smile and shake my head. Of course come 3.05 pm in the first competitive game and we're 1-0 down it'll be back to shouting "fuxakecity!!" but, hey, at least we're not Whitehill Welfare...
