  1. which is what City fans said too when we left the Stadium...
  2. There's actually a lot of teams like this in League 1 (except for City, we're too young, crap and stupid and unliked by refs to get away with it!) but I would say Annan are a particularly hard watch. Which is why I like watching East of Scotland League Football- players feigning injury etc tend to get a kick up the arse! On the other hand I don't mind Annan as a club and well done to them for staying up. No particular axes to grind re the play-offs* so good luck Stirling, even if your keeper is a walloper. *mutter.. pity if Spartans bottled it... mutter...
  3. Someone seems to be seeking out my old posts mentioning a certain meat product enjoyed with pineapple and red dotting them. "Heigh ho" said Anthony Rowley and also me.
  4. Raith Rovers? You used to get pink jammy doughnuts but the catering is shite now
  5. If you can't see the hills then the picturesque Falls of Feugh are near Banchory. You can see salmon leaping up them when it's the season for salmon to leap I've been meaning to do a programme feature on clubs named after Saints as well...
  6. I did pick him but as I quite like him it's mixed feelings
  7. That's half of 0666. Leven/Methil/Buckhind- only a demi-hell.
  8. Quadratic equations Or just tell her "I got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one" and run..
  9. Is it not time to start "The very meh Baldy John Swinney" Thread yet? as for the glabrous.. folk don't like baldies running the country, son, so shift over- Uncle Andy's taking charge
  10. I think Murdo was stitched up when they removed his brain and replaced it with a neep
  11. "I'm worried about one of the boys, Captain" If that's 73 is that Sandi Toksvig?
  12. Judith Ralston and Stuart Cosgrove on acid?
  13. she might well be kicked out at the next election in favour of a Lib Dem anyway
  14. "Independents" in Scotland tended to be Tories in all but name.. but there could be a few good guys in there I suppose.
  15. Count Binface (standing in the London Mayoral election) was interviewed on Radio 4 news this evening. He sounded a bit like Bluebottle from the Goon Show I'd vote for him...
  16. That's the Boys' Brigade in HJ's pictures above I believe. They had a meeting hall near by (might still be there, not sure). One of the Edinburgh City team who beat Hibs in the Scottish Cup in the 1930s had a BB connection, as did the illustrator Tom Curr who did cartoons of football games in the evening paper:
  17. I believe we've paid off the debts. Just because you beat us 13-2 in 1937 doesn't mean you can ask for us to be thrown out the League. Now there are other failed franchises beginning with L clubs that you could have a pop at.
  18. If the Greens get three times the council seats as Reform which party will get three times the coverage on the BBC? Er.... Reform.
  19. 1) Who was St Mirren manager that day? 2) Which team did he serve with distinction during his player career?
