Are we certain that McGill is unavailable for the Motherwell game? He's definitely not played for Hearts in the cup so he isn't cup tied, and I suspect he was possibly signed too late to be registered for the Linlithgow game. The only way he wouldn't be is if Hearts have said no to cup games, which hasn't been said publicly (as far as I've seen) and wouldn't really be of benefit to Hearts.

Actually having a range of subs to use makes a big difference!

A win for markf268 - a mistake allowed me to fork the queen which really turned the game around from being behind to victory.

It possibly was premature but I just couldn't see any way to even threaten a comeback and the last couple of moves looked like they were going to leave be further behind. Not sure if it made it into the thread, but a win for markf268 over On mathematics as well by checkmate - opponent went on the attack and left the back door open.

Frustrating is right, made that move just before bed then woke up and saw it was a blunder! Think I'm a couple of games behind - will get invites out this morning.

I think it depends - we were there for a few days last May and if you want to go to the night time trips then you need to be booked up in advance, was definitely sold out for the Saturday evening we went. On that note, definitely recommend the evening trips - less people on the island and adds to the creepiness of the place - gets cold though!

We do tend to win cup games at Dens though.

You only need to go back a couple of weeks for a high profile (and more extreme example - Liverpool scoring against) Wolves in the FA Cup, Salah being ruled onside as the defender made a deliberate play on the ball, as he was trying to cut it out whereas this was just (in my opinion) a header back towards the keeper.

For me, not well and I would be happy for his loan not to be renewed. Suspect with players running at him and doesn't offer much going forward either - it's been noticeable the last couple of games that passes aren't going to him as he generally just knocks it back to the centre half.
