  1. I'm surprised people are surprised at finding bigoted propaganda. The clues were there with the words Keith, Jackson and Daily Record. That any non-Old Firm fan still reads their bile is disappointing, even if it's in an ironic or rubber necking, car crash fashion. You know what your going to get. Best just to leave the poison to be read by their target market. Well, those in that market that can read that is.

  2. Oh, what a surprise, double the bigotry wanted by Smith the bluenose.

People like Smith are the dangers to the Scottish game, complete with those that give him and his ilk the oxygen to spout their bigoted publicity. If our clubs continue to support these b*****ds then our game is truly fucked for ever.

  3. Cellino is making the same mistake that most Scottish football fans apparently do ie thinking that Sky, and BT too, actually give a f**k about football. Selling advertising and packages is all that counts and using football is the current way to do it. If elephant polo brought about the same viewing figures then we'd have wall to wall elephant polo. He's wasting his time whinging and trying to make a point. His real gripe should be with his footballing colleagues that sold the games soul for the broadcasters money.

  4. Wednesday 23 December 2015...a day that'll go down in the annuls of Scottish football history.

For the first time ever, today's BBC website has not one single mention of Rangers above the fold and in the extensive Gossip page the 2nd Division outfit only have one fleeting mention, as Hibs next opponents. No propaganda at all. Nothing from a former Celtic player that had one subby appearance in the 90's saying the title's can't be stripped. No mention of which biscuits the groundsman has with his morning tea. No unknown ex-youth player saying Scottish football needs them in the top league. Not even a Barry Ferguson quote. Totally astounding stuff.

This is obviously far from terrible journalism but an event rarer than Halley's Comet had to be recorded for future generations.

  5. The Yanks say there will be a "second round" of revelations and arrests so hopefully all the details will be in that.

You don't need evidence to know that the Qatar win was bought but surely proof of mass corruption would make their hosting of the tournament a farce.

It's already public knowledge that Nicolas Sarkozy pressurised Platini to change his vote from the USA to Qatar at the last minute as the Qatari's had verbally agreed to buy Sarkozy's favourite team, PSG, and create a new French sports channel.

If they managed to buy a big nation like France's vote you can imagine how easy it would be to coerce some of the smaller countries.

Not that anything will reverse the Qatar farce unfortunately but surely Sarkozy telling Platini to change his vote is political interference, something FIFA are strongly against. They should be taking action against France but wont of course.

  6. There are 10 "stories" there. 5 of them are the same story about Stokes. 2 of them are the same one about Foderingham.

They can't even be bothered to go and find more stories about the OF!

It's awful isn't it! I know it's only a gossip page but the fact is it exists and they just use it as another outlet for their Old Firm propaganda. Surprised they didn't include another earth shattering Barry Ferguson statement about Rangers as they're normally quite fond of those.

  7. I sympathise, but also there's a kind of wish on most people's part to see how "our boys" are doing elsewhere.

There was also an article recently about a Scottish guy who's assisting NI's preparations. That was quite interesting, and very few people would have heard of the lad otherwise.

Sometimes you do have to scratch your head to see the connection though, e.g. when some no-mark English team sack their manager and some jobber like Dougie Freedman is mentioned as a possible successor.

I know where you're coming from but finding out how Scots are doing in England is only a couple of clicks away in it's appropriate place. No need to take up the very limited space we get to promote the Scottish game with it, especially in such prominent positions on the site overshadowing actual Scottish football. Blackburn Rovers are now the lead story under the Headlines section of Scottish football with three pieces about them.

There's space further down the page for Around the UK and Features, which is fair enough as every country's page has that, so magazine articles such as the NI Scottish connection can be covered there.

  8. BBC website...Scottish football home page...2 pieces about Blackburn Rovers appointing a new manager, who is Scottish.

Unless Blackburn have joined a Scottish league, that isn't Scottish football. It's using the flimsiest excuse to feed us yet more English football through the limited resource we are given for genuine Scottish football.

Want to know about a Scot in England? Go to the English football pages. The clues in the title.

  9. FFS, is this Kincardine guy one of these c***s that just goes round and round either being deliberately obtuse for the sake of an argument or just genuinely thick?

No wonder he gets pelters elsewhere on the board for his performances on BRALT.

The former. He's out to ruin the thread and he'll succeed if folk keep responding to the trolling.

  10. I still dont get the FCUM hate but there we have it.

Because of their Man United association. There are some professional United haters on here and their seethe is so great that they need at least two United's to maximise their loathing. The Prem thread is quite funny during United games at times.

  11. "I know people will say results are not right but there is a lot more to it than that.

I'm sick to death of the professional attention seekers coming out with their unsubstantiated shit stirring. Townsend should be made to back up what he's insinuating or withdraw the thinly disguised accusations of racism against Huddersfield and QPR. After all the guy's obviously got facts to enable him to make such derogatory statements...

  12. ok,read the entry.a bit dodgy but nothing there that explains the seething hatred people seem to have of him.ive only ever seen him regularly on tv since he joined crawley, never ever came across as particularly loveable but most managers don't tbh-they'll argue black is white, have subjective tunnel vision and massive egos.

fwiw,I see no reason he cant do a good job there-doesn't seem sort thatll put up with the players cruising along on autopilot and not giving a damn

Part of it's just following the trend but the main reason he's hated in the game itself is because he's apparently completely underhand, trying every nasty little trick in the book to gain his team an advantage. Fans of his own clubs have said he's embarrassed them with his antics during games and media comments. He also loves dishing it out but can't take it back apparently and has a vastly inflated opinion of himself, which is understandable given his waist size!

His record doesn't justify any club with illusions of promotion to the EPL employing him. He's only just managed in the Championship for the first time in his career and after an understandably inconsistent first season was sacked when Rotherham had just moved off the bottom, the suggestion being the Championship is a level too high for him. He also signed and played Kirk Broadfoot which is a sacking offence itself.
